Anchoring Speech
Anchor 1- It is a day of pride, glory, and honor for our nation. A day when we
remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and pay tribute to their courage
and valor. A day when we renew our pledge to uphold the values of democracy,
unity, and peace.
Anchor 2-Dear audience, you will discover the colors of this special occasion, Independence
Day.
Well, my first and foremost duty – On behalf of the Principal, Teaching Staff, and Students,
we welcome you all to our independence day celebration.
Anchor 2- I am (name), your host for today’s program. It is our privilege and pleasure to
welcome you all to this auspicious occasion.
Anchor 2-Independence Day is celebrated on August 15th. It is a day to pay homage to the brave
souls who fought for our liberty, and independence and we reflect on the values and principles
that define our great nation. We stand here with a sense of pride, knowing that we are
fortunate to live in a country where freedom and democracy prevail. Independence Day is not
just a day, but it is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our forefathers and the responsibility
we have to uphold to their legacy.
Anchor 1-Today, as we embark on this auspicious occasion, we have a lineup of events that will
remind us of the significance of this day and reignite our love for our motherland. As we
commemorate this day, let us remember the words of our beloved first Prime Minister, Pandit
Jawaharlal Nehru, who declared at the stroke of midnight, “At the dawn of history, India
started on her unending quest, and trackless centuries are filled with her striving and the
grandeur of her success and her failures.”
Anchor 2-Without taking much of your time, permit us to start the program.
__ do you feel some turbulence around here?
Anchor 1-Wow! What a brilliant performance! Let us give a big round of applause to
the performers. Thank you, performers, for your wonderful performance. You have
enlightened us about the diverse culture of India. I still feel lost in those melodies
dipped in music notes. Well, lets come back now. Let us have a different ambience.
Anchor 1-Now, let us get to know a little more about our nation and Independence day, and its
achievements ever since then.. For that lets invite (x) to give a wonderful speech along with a

soldiers and martyrs of our nation .
