Hydraulic design of the Screen Shaft shall be based on different flow conditions (Minimum Daily Flow,
Average Daily Flow and Peak Daily Flow to Screen Shaft) in accordance with Screen Shaft design flows
tabulated in Table 1, Schedule 5 Influent Quantity and Quality Requirements.

The Project Company shall make the Screen Shaft available all the time to deal with the Screen Shaft design
flows specified in the Table 1, Schedule 5 Influent Quantity and Quality Requirements.

On any given Day if the Peak Daily Flows (as defined above) to the Screen Shaft from the MTS as measured
by the Metering and Monitoring System exceeds the Peak Daily Flow value specified for the Project flows,
Table 1, Schedule 5 (Influent Quantity and Quality Parameters), then it shall be treated as Peak Influent
Event – Screen Shaft as stipulated in the Agreement.

However, when the Expansion Phases have been executed and are operational, the Peak Influent Event –
Screen Shaft for the Screen Shaft shall be adjusted by the Project Company and Ashghal based on the
combined installed peak capacities of the Pump Shaft and the Future Pump Shafts.

Peak Daily Flow to Screen Shaft = Installed Peak Capacity of the Pump Shaft + Peak Daily Flow capacity of
installed Future Pump Shafts

Hydraulic design of the Pump Shaft shall be based on Minimum Daily Flow, Average Daily Flow and Peak
Daily Flow from Screen Shaft to Pump Shaft in accordance with design flows tabulated in Table 2, Schedule
5 Influent Quantity and Quality Requirements.

On any given Day if the Peak Daily Flow (as defined above) to the Pump Shaft as measured by the Metering
and Monitoring System exceeds the value specified in Table 2, Schedule 5 ( Influent Quantity and Quality
Parameters), then it shall be treated as Peak Influent Event as stipulated in the Agreement.

Odour Influent Parameters

OCF at the TPS is part of the wider odour control strategy of the MTS. MTS Contractor is responsible for
building remote odour control facilities at work shaft 7 (WS-7) which is part of MTS and not part of the sciope
of the Project. However, the odour flow rate at the TPS is dependent on various parameters, some of the key
parameters are Influent sewage to Screen Shaft, capacity and performance of remote odour control facility
at WS 7 etc. It is expected that the Project Company shall carryout due diligence with MTS Contractor to
obtain the necessary design inputs needed for odour modelling to determine the predicted odour
concentrations and odourous air flow rate to the Screen Shaft during different phases of the Project.

The following Table 3 provides general indicative technical range for depicted odour Influent parameters
expected to be delivered from the MTS to the Screen Shaft.

Table 3: Expected Influent Odour Parameters at Screen Shaft

1. Note: The maximum expected odorous air flow rate shall be higher of value specified in Table 3, Schedule 5 or ventilation rate
obtained by Project Company as per odour modelling requirements specified in clause 6.2, Part 2 Project Specific
Requirements, Schedule 2 Design and Construction Requirements and elsewhere stated in the Agreement.

The design of OCF at the TPS shall be based on the H2S concentrations, odour units indicated in table 3
above and verified by Project Company’s odour modelling in compliance with requirements specified in
clause 6.2, Part 2 Project Specific Requirements, Schedule 2: Design and Construction Requirements and
other requirements stipulated elsewhere in the Agreement. The Project Company has the flexibility to
develop the OCF at the TPS in phase wise manner at its own discretion.

On any given Day if the peak odour Influent parameters (as defined above) exceeds the specified values in
Table 3, Schedule 5 (Influent Quantity and Quality Parameters), then it shall be treated as Influent Excuse
Event - Odour as stipulated in the Agreement.

However, when the maximum odorous air flow rate to the Screen Shaft and the Peak Influent Event –
Screen Shaft for the Screen Shaft shall be adjusted by the Project Company and Ashghal based on the flows
to the Screen Shaft and the status of Expansion Phases being operational.
