hidden ideas, things that aren’t said outright but are assumed to be true
for the statement to make sense. In simple words A “statement” is a
sentence that can be true or false. However, behind any statement,
there are underlying assumptions. Assumptions are implicit ideas or
beliefs that are taken for granted within the context of the statement.
They are not explicitly stated but are necessary for the statement to be
meaningful or valid.
