1. Identification of 8-9 wild animals(gorilla, chimpanzee, panda, koala bear,


kangaroo, wolf, hippo, rhinoceros, leopard, hyena)
2. Animals and their babies (cow- calf, horse-foal, pig-piglet, sheep-lamb,
hen-chick, dog-puppy, cat-kitten, goat-kid, elephant-calf, lion-cub,
giraffe-calf, kangaroo-joey, deer-fawn, lion-cub, tiger-cub)
3. Identification of 4-5 marine animals (lobster, water snake, whale, shark,
squid)
4. Identification of 2-3 reptiles (crocodile, snake, lizard, tortoise, chameleon,
alligator, iguana)
5. Identification of 1-2 endangered animals (one-horned rhinoceros,
elephant, lion, tiger, black bear )
6. Identification of 9-10 birds (parakeet, kiwi, ostrich, vulture, kingfisher,
pelican, sea gull, flamingo )
7. Identification of 1-2 endangered birds (sarus crane, pink headed duck, red
headed vulture )
8. Names of 8-9 Insects (dragonfly, grasshopper, firefly, ladybug, bed bug,
beetle, honey bee, mosquito, housefly, butterfly, earthworm, centipede,
spider, scorpion, snail )
9. Differentiating amongst animals on the basis of habitat (Desert Animals---
Camel, scorpion, ostrich, etc; Grassland Animals—zebra, giraffe,
rabbit; Animals living in the Rainforest---chimpanzee, parakeet, gorilla;
Polar Animals---polar bear, penguin, seal, walrus )
1. Names of 3-4 parts of the bird’s body ( Birds have one head, two eyes to
see, two legs to stand and hop, have feathers on their body to protect,
birds have tails, one beak to pick up their food, wings that help them to
fly)
10.Difference between flightless and high flying birds (Flightless birds have
shorter wings and more feathers; they have strong claws; they are very
good runners. Like emu, ostrich, kiwi and penguin. The high flying
birds have very long wings as compared to their body, which help them
to fly high. Like swan, vulture, eagle, goose)
11.Identification of 2-3 nocturnal insects (cockroach, grasshopper, firefly,
scorpion, spider )
12.Uses of insects (Silkworms produce silk threads which are then woven
into clothes; Honey bees collect juices from the flowers and store them
in their homes, inside the homes the juices turn into honey; Earthworms
live in soil and eat up the litter from the soil, they also make holes in the
soil which allows the water to reach the roots of the plant; thus
earthworms help the plants to grow well.)

Science:

1. Living and Non Living objects (Living things can move on their own, can
grow, need food and water to live, they can breathe. Non- living things
cannot move on their own, cannot grow, do not breathe, do not need
food and water to live.)
2. Float and Sink (Objects which are lighter than water can float, while
objects which are heavier sink into water)
