Center Staff Policy

 If the Child Development


Worker and the Parent Aide
are ill, they must be excused
from work and from contact
with children.

 The CDW must refers to


the City Health Office for
proper check-up and
medication by the Child
Development Coordinator.
Child Protection
Policy

 Every reasonable
precaution is taken to protect
children from harm and any
hazard likely to cause injury.

 The Child Development


Worker is aware of their roles
and responsibilities to
respond to every child at risk
of abuse or neglect.
Medicine Policy

 The CDC will need a medical


release form from the
parent/guardian in order to
administer any medication.

 This applies to non


prescription as well as prescription
medication. Please make sure
medication is brought in a
labeled, childproof container.

 The medical release form


should be obtained at the front
desk and medication should be
left with CDW.
Malnourished
Children
Policy

 The malnourished children


refer to the BNS conducting
feeding program from the
barangay/Local government.

 Malnourished must be
monitored by the CDW/BNS for
their weighing and height
nutritional status.

 Children are beneficiaries of


Supplementary Feeding
Program.
Non-Discrimination
Policy

The CDC is operated on a


non-discriminatory basis and
gives equal treatment and
access to services without
regard to gender, sex, color,
religion, ethnic group and
disability
Parents Conference

 A conference to discuss on
child's progress and
development after accomplishing
the ECCD CHECKLIST.

 The CDW and the


parent/guardian will discuss
growth and development of the
child so that can work together
toward meeting these goals.

 All parents /guardian are


required to attend PARENT
EFFECTIVENESS SERVICE
(PES)
Children with Special
Needs

The children with special


needs may refer to the proper
institution like the Stimulation
and
Therapeutic Activity Center
(STAC) for proper care and
guidance. If a child has an
identified disability or
development delay, he receives
services specified in his
Individualized Education Plan.
Children’s Files Policy

 The use or disclosure of child's


records or other information
concerning children or families will
be limited to purposes directly
connected to the CDC program.

 No other use of this information


maybe made without parent’s prior
written consent.

 Legal parents/guardians shall


have access to all information
contained in their own child's
individual file.
Health Policy
 Every child has an annual health
record and oral health record.
 Every child can avail free check up
from the Rural Health Unit with the
proper coordination of the Child
Development Coordinator/Child
Development Worker.
 Please notify the CDW early in the
day if your child is to be absent.
 Your child should be brought to the
health center if she/he has fever, has
sign of a cold, cough, sore throat,
watery eyes, heavy nasal, discharge
or colored mucous. Has a persistent
cough. Has an eye infection. Is
vomiting or has diarrhea.
