I. Statement of Purpose
 The subjects were called to help the teachers enhance and execute their learning
on Mastering Pedagogy: Innovative Teaching Techniques for Academic
Excellence.

NARRATIVE REPORT

The continuous learning for teachers is on the fourth day in the series that was
conducted last January 29, 2024. The development for the teachers of Las Piñas City
National Senior High School - Manuyo Uno Campus has been productive for
everyone since the first day of this In-Service Training.

The teachers arrived early for the registration. The program started on time
and began with the preliminary activities. Everyone participated in the fun and
interactive energizer led by the teachers of Manuyo Elementary School.

The morning session, “Mastering Pedagogy: Innovative Teaching Techniques

for Academic Excellence” was discussed by Gemma C. Caviles, Ph.D. – Public
Schools District Supervisor of Cluster III. To activate the inner creativity of the
participants she presented a lesson with the integration of technology. A new fun way
of learning with interactive games was introduced and participated by everyone in the
room. However, problems arise during the flow of the discussion that exists in reality.
The first was the internet connection that slowed down the flow of the lesson and
became no time-bound activity. Also, the capacity of learners to see and hear to
participate well during the entire discussion.

The teachers were able to share their best practices on their lesson execution
during the open forum. Website links were provided to harvest ideas and to be used in
their teaching strategies. The goal of this seminar training was attained and executed
by the teacher-participants. Despite the challenges and struggles of teachers in their
daily teaching life, they assured that their creativity and resourcefulness will
maximize their capacity as life-long educators.

For the afternoon session, the topic was, “LAC Session on Crafting DLL &
Improvisation of Materials” which was still supervised closely by Gemma C. Caviles,
Ph.D.. In this part of the training, participants were asked to prepare their daily lesson
log based on their subject for the next semester. Everybody in the room was thrilled to
share their teaching strategies and expertise in their respective subject area. All the
participants prepared a printed copy and a PowerPoint presentation to be used for the
discussion part.
To choose the presenters of DLL an electronic roulette was used. The lucky
picks to share their work are Ms. Aica Fernandez, Mr. Riyadh G. Cervantes, and Mr.
Elmer Medina. The three of them were applauded for their strategies, but also need to
improve on some parts. To cater to all the students, the speaker suggested some
helpful tips to improve their DLL and lesson execution. It was concluded that the use
of appropriate words and verbs was necessary and needed to attain an exquisite lesson
discussion daily.
Aside from the presentation of DLL and sharing of helpful tips and strategies
in teaching the visitors from the Department of Education NCR alighted the teachers
with their presence. Positive feedback on the report presented, answered questions
from the Senior High School Coordinator Ms. Aileen G. Valle, and the School
Principal Mr. Mark Anthony C. Mamon, and some participants awed the guests with
their insights and confidence in sharing knowledge. This concluded this productive
day for everyone.
This day was full of knowledge after the sharing of expertise from the
different subject groups and with the guidance of Ms. Gemma C. Caviles.
