support your explanation wherever necessary.

1.1 Given that Vbn = 110∠0◦, find Van and Vcn, assuming a positive
(abc) sequence.
1.2 What are the advantages of a three phase system over single phase
system?
1.3 What do you understand by time constant? What is time constant
of RL and RC circuit?
1.4 Define (i) transient response and (ii) natural and forced response.
1.5 Draw the s-domain equivalent circuits of inductor and the
capacitor excited by voltage source.
1.6 Draw the two-port equivalent circuit of h-parameters.
1.7 Find the Y-parameters for the circuit in figure (01)

1.8 Write poles and zeros conditions of stability for a transfer
function.
1.9 What is singled tuned circuits? State its limitation.
1.10 What is integrating wave shaping circuit? Mention its

2.1 A balanced star-connected load with phase impedance of 40 +
𝑗25 Ω is supplied by delta-connected source having line voltage
of 𝑉𝑎𝑏 = 210∠0° 𝑉. Calculate the phase currents.

2.2 Prove that the average three-phase power is same for star and
delta connected circuits.
2.3 Two wattmeters connected to a 3-phase motor indicate the total
power input to be 12kW. The power factor is 0.6. Determine the
readings of each wattmeter.
2.4 The unbalanced delta load of figure (02) is supplied by balanced
line-line voltages of Vab = 200V in the positive sequence. Find the
line currents.

4.1 Determine the current i(t) when the resistor (R) and inductor (L)
are connected in series and excited by step input function V. Plot
response when t=0, t=2τ, t=3τ, t=4τ and t=∞ s
4.2 In a series R-L-C circuit, R=5Ω, L=1H & C=1F. A dc voltage of
20V is applied at t=0 s. Obtain i(t).
4.3 Write the concise Laplace transform steps of analysing the
transient circuits.

5.4 Find I1, I2 , V1 and V2 for the network shown in figure (06) if the
Z-parameter is given by ;

6.1 Show that the output from a differentiating circuit is derivative of
the input. What assumption is made in the derivation?
6.2 Sketch the output waveform from the differentiating circuit when
the input is square wave for RC >> tp, RC = tp, and RC << tp. if tp is
time period of input wave.
