Introduction
The current assignment aims to highlight the advantages and disadvantages which has
been associated with a broad and balanced curriculum. Therefore, it also highlights the
foundation subjects of the students as well to provide first-hand information to the readers. It is
important to understand that the nature of creativity is vital in primary education. Therefore, it is
found in foundation subjects and RE. Moreover, it discusses the features of learning subjects in
the foundation and elaborates its strengths and advantages. It is important to present specific
examples to provide explicit information about the foundation subjects. Creative approaches are
On the other hand, the current study also emphasises the benefits of the stories to enhance
the foundation subjects and RE knowledge. It also provides one activity to show the importance
of skills and capabilities required for the foundation subjects. The PowerPoint outline is that
there would be five slides that include visual representation related to the current topic, and it has
three parts. The first part is for the Introduction, the second part is the discussion, and the third is
the conclusion.
The important part of providing effective learning is children with skills and
competencies that enable them to use themselves self-sufficiently and apply their information in
different situations. Therefore, a broad and balanced curriculum is used to determine the
relationship between prior knowledge and the new environment that underlines the importance of
creativity in developing successful students in primary education (Allen and Mehler, 2019).
Everyone has the creative or practical ability to combine two or more ideas to form new ideas. In

this way, successful students can be encouraged to acquire creative thinking skills and transfer
their skills to other subjects. The strength of broad and balanced curriculum is that it provides
students different skills and also provide adequate amount of knowledge. Another strength of
broad and balanced curriculum is that it provides students an opportunity to become a well-
rounded individual. The issue related to broad and balanced curriculum is that schools can failed
to co-ordinate in an effective manner in numeracy and other activities which can hinder the
progress of students.
Unlike learning style, creativity is considered a learning process. A broad and balanced
curriculum such as core articles can provide children with questioning, develop creative thinking,
and encourage them to engage in stimulating activities such as discussions that challenge
opinions and ideas. Creative thinking can also be reflected in the various manifestations of
children's ideas, notions, body and language. The students in Foundation have benefited from a
broad and balanced curriculum effectively and could combine ideas and explain other problems
efficiently. According to the study of Lu et al. (2017), it is shown that all children perform
differently, but the result is the same. They presented their thoughts and concepts well visually
on the subject and uniquely demonstrated creativity. It is used to demonstrate the importance of
creating a dynamic and attractive learning atmosphere for the growth of students where
children's spiritual and mental skills can be improved through actually being creative and
