II. Session Details
Session Title: Do it Right!
Session 1. Define and identify human rights.
Objectives: 2. Apply the concept of human rights to their own lives.
Key Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race,
Concepts sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human
rights include the right to education, freedom of opinion and expression,
right to life, right to privacy, right to marry and family. Everyone is entitled
to these rights, without discrimination.
III. Facilitation Strategies

Sing along with the song entitled “Ipaglaban mo”
by Richard D. Samulde.

Warm Up and 5 minutes Processing:


Introduction What was the song all about?
What are the lines that caught your attention?
What is human rights?

Emphasize:
Are you aware of the different human rights?
The student will be divided into 5 groups, there
will be 2 boxes, the group representative will pick
1 for the topic and 1 on how they are going to
present the topic. The remaining group will guess
Concept the topic assigned to the presenter.
Exploration 40 minutes
Topics:
Right to education
Freedom of opinion and expression
Right to life
Right to privacy
Right to marry and family

Presentation:
Paint me a picture!
Role Playing
Charades
News Reporting(about how right is violated)
Slogan

Processing:
1. What are the human rights that was
presented?
2. States Universities are conducting
entrance examination and screening for
those who wants to enter college, but not
everyone is accepted, do you think it
violated the right to education?
3. What is not allowed in freedom of
expression?
4. Is death penalty against right to life?
5. Some partners like boyfriend/girlfriend
tend to ask or open your account without
permission do think it violates the right to
privacy?
6. In Islam, arranged marriage is practiced,
do you think it is a violation of the right to
marry and family?

COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITY
Valuing/Wrap Student will be divided into 5 groups. Each
up 10 minutes member will share their answers to their
groupmates and one representative will present it
to the class.
1. What are the human rights that was
presented?
2. What was your realization after hearing
and talking about your rights?
3. Right now, how can you say that the
people in the community are exercising
their human rights?
4. How important that the community should
be aware of their human rights?
Reflective 5 minutes Reflective Questions:
Journaling 1. Share your experience in the community
how you exercise your human rights.
