1. According to Addo and Agyepong, (2020). Lower patient waiting time, minimize user
burden and provide faster medical records, all of which improve patient care. The study
is intended to assess the effects of Information and Communication Technology on
health service delivery at Tafo Government Hospital. It also aims at determining the
knowledge and attitude of staff towards the use of ICT. It also reviews the efficiency and
effectiveness use of ICT and the challenges of ICT in the health service delivery.

2. According to Sundeep Sahay, Petter Nielsen , and Murodillo Latifov. (2018) Grand
challenges of public health: How can health information systems support facing them.
The aim of this paper is to illuminate, discuss and draw policy implications related to the
role of health information systems in facing the grand challenges of UHC and CRVS. We
are doing so based on positioning UHC and CRVS HIS as large-scale and complex
information systems each having their particular information architecture problematic.
In the next section, we present existing knowledge on the information architecture
problematic and how researchers have identified challenges and approaches to deal
with it

3. According to Davide Golinelli Orcid, Erik Boetto (2020). They conducted a systematic
review of early COVID-19–related literature (from January 1 to April 30, 2020) by
searching MEDLINE and med R xiv with appropriate terms to find relevant literature on
the use of digital technologies in response to the pandemic. We extracted study
characteristics such as the paper title, journal, and publication date, and we categorized
the retrieved papers by the type of technology and patient needs addressed. We built a
scoring rubric by cross-classifying the patient needs with the type of technology. We
also extracted information and classified each technology reported by the selected
articles according to health care system target, grade of innovation, and scalability to
other geographical areas.

4. According to Isabel C. P. Marques & João J. M. Ferreira (2019) The majority of research
in digital medicine has been focused on integrated management, electronic medical
records and medical images, but a research trend is observed in new areas such as
virtual service, the use of portable devices as instruments for monitoring the patient and
concern about the privacy of medical documents. Categorization in seven areas was
carried out, focusing on integrated management of information technology in health,
medical images, electronic medical records, development of portable, mobile devices in
health, access to e-health, telemedicine and privacy of medical data.

5. According to Punit Gupta, and Dinesh Kumar Saini (2022) This study is to develop a
blockchain-based system that helps in the security and management of patient data.
This system uses blockchain technology with smart contracts to establish an iterative,
secure, accessible, and decentralized healthcare ecosystem. People will be able to freely
and securely share their medical records with doctors, hospitals, research institutions,
and other groups while having complete control over their medical data privacy.
Besides, this research looks towards the use of blockchain technology in a variety of
uses that are growing rapidly.

LOCAL LITERATURE
1. According to Sheily Mendoza, Ranzel Cloie Padpad, Amira Jane Vael, Cindy Alcazar &
Rolando Pula (2019). A Web-Based “InstaSked” Appointment Scheduling System at
Perpetual Help Medical Center Outpatient Department. This study designed a new web-
based appointment scheduling system the “Insta Sked” which could reduce the waiting
time experienced by patients. It is designed for patients (booking their appointment),
medical secretaries (managing patient list), doctors, and management (monitoring
patients). The system used an integration of the Six Sigma methodology, DMADV
(define, measure, analyze, design, and verify), and BPM (business process
management).

2. According to Eileen Rose Cabildo Quilon, Amando Pimentel Singun (2019).
Teleconsultation System for Rural Health Units (RHUs) for Metro Vigan, Philippines The
developed teleconsultation system is an android application that aids the challenges in
Rural Health Units (RHUs) in Metro Vigan, Philippines as this serves as a tool to check
symptoms which are related to the user’s medical condition. The system makes use of
the Naïve Bayes algorithm in order to ensure the accuracy of the analysis of the diseases
associated to the patient’s symptoms and information.

3. According to Mark Roosevelt Q. Garcia, Kurt Laurence D. Jimenez, Rein Ryan O. Simacon,
Miguel Carlo C. Vito and Emeliza R. Yabut (2021). B-Health - A Framework for Mobile
and Web Application for Barangay Health Center in the Municipality of Laguna. The
researcher proposes a study that will develop a mobile and web application for
Barangay health centers in rural areas. The system can cater to many barangays to
update them, it will strengthen the meeting cycle or consultation processes quality, in
other words, the application aims to improve patient monitoring and deliver health
announcements to lessen their challenges throughout the rural community. The B-
Health application can monitor patients' medical history and conditions. Also, users can
receive health announcements using Short Message Service. The user can view health
information and set an appointment from the barangay health center.) The researcher
concludes that there is an accurate study and for implementing the B-Health application
in the municipality of laguna since the survey showed good percentage results into
asked questions. The paper focuses on improving the gap between the community and
health center through the implementation of B-Health application thus this will serve as
the bridge of distributing basic healthcare to all people living in the rural area.
