Questionnaire: Power Supply Design Engineer (Philippines)

Candidate Name: Vince Harrold A. Altura

1. Why are you currently exploring new jobs?

 I have been working at my current company for three years now and have gained a lot of
skills, knowledge, and experience in Digital Layout (Implementation). At this point in my
career, I want to explore more and expand my expertise in the IC Design field as part of my
career goal. Shifting from Digital to Analog Design would be of great opportunity for me to
pursue my goal. I am ready for new challenges, eager to learn new skills with my new
responsibility and willing to have a chance to make an impact in another position.

2. Why are you interested in Power Integrations and this particular job?
 My colleague working in Power Integrations have recommended this opportunity to me. With
this, I went to your website and found out that Power Integrations have been founded since
1988 and the company’s growth based on its milestones has been fast-moving which makes it
a large and well-established company. I'm excited about this job opportunity, as it would
allow me to pursue my goal by expanding my skill and knowledge in the semiconductor
industry through this new role while taking this opportunity as well to contribute to an
exciting company in achieving its mission.

3. Have you reviewed the job description and feel qualified?

 Yes, I have reviewed the job description along with its specific responsibilities. As I have
mentioned, my previous experience was in Digital Layout (Implementation). My current
capabilities and qualifications could not be fully utilized in this new job role (Analog Design).
However, few of my experience such as software skills (programming) and mathematical skills
can be of use. The more complex and highly technical skills/knowledge needed to be
successful in this role is what I am willing and eager to learn and be trained for. Therefore, I
am highly motivated to have this opportunity.
