MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME


TO SUBMIT COUNTER-AFFIDAVIT
Respondents _________________________________ and ___________________________,
by the undersigned counsel, and to this Honorable Office of the Provincial
Prosecutor, most respectfully states that:

1. Respondents engaged the services of the undersigned counsel only to-


day, April 1, 2024;
2. Respondent _________________________________ received her subpoena and
that of _________________________________ on March 19, 2024. Hence, they
have until March 29, 2024 within which to submit their respective
counter-affidavits. Since March 29, 2024 is a holiday, respondents thus
have until today April 1, 2024 within which to submit their counter-affi-
davits;
3. However, due to the pressures of equally urgent work and prior com-
mitments and the time the respondents engaged the services of the
counsel, the undersigned counsel will not be able to meet the said dead-
line;
4. As such, undersigned counsel is constrained to request for an additional
period of ten (10) days from today within which to submit Respondents’
Counter-Affidavits and other supporting evidence. Moreover, this addi-
tional time will also allow the undersigned to interview the available
witness/es and study this case;
5. This motion is not intended for delay but solely due to the foregoing
reasons.

PRAYER
WHEREFORE, Respondents most respectfully prays of this Honorable
Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Davao del Norte that they be given an
additional period of ten (10) days from today within which to submit their
counter-affidavits and other documentary evidence.

MOST RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED.

Other relief just and equitable are likewise prayed for.
