GENERAL INSTRUCTION:
I. Speech Writing
a. Content and Theme:
• Explore the theme of "Of Stars and Struggles" with depth and
creativity.
• Make your story interesting and share a lesson or insight about the
theme.
b. Structure:
• Organize your script into three sections - introduction, body, and
conclusion.
• Craft a captivating introduction to draw in the audience.
• Develop a well-structured body that delves into the intricacies of the
theme, balancing both the success and challenging aspects of your life.
(Feel free to infuse personal experiences, anecdotes, or reflections that
resonate with the theme.)
• Conclude the script with a thought-provoking or inspiring message
related to the theme.
c. Formatting:
• Utilize Arial font, size 11.
• Maintain single spacing
• Set 1-inch margins on all sides of the document.
• Use A4 bond paper.
d. Length:
• Aim for a script length that allows for a clear and impactful presentation,
typically around 4-5 minutes of speaking time.
e. Submission Deadline:
• Submit your completed speech by Friday, February 23, 2024. Non-
submission will result in exclusion from the activity.

II. Speech Recital


a. After composing your speech, memorize it thoroughly and prepare to recite it in front
of the class.
b. Keep in mind the oral nature of the script; incorporate elements that enhance
delivery, such as pauses, emphasis on key points, and variations in tone.
