Lesson Plan: Purpose of The Lesson) by The End of The Lesson, The Learners Would Be Able To

The lesson plan outlines a physical sciences lesson on scalars and vectors for grade 11 students. It details the aims, objectives, content, teaching strategies, and lesson phases, including introducing the topic, presenting examples of scalars and vectors, and concluding with a reminder that anything measurable is a physical quantity.

LESSON PLAN

Name of School Mangwazana High School

Grade: 11a Duration 1 Hour Date 04 February 2022
Name of the Teacher Qinisolethu Myeni
Subject Physical Sciences
Topic Scaler and Vectors
Number of Learners 58

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

General aims  To know that anything that is uses numbers and be
measured is a quantity.

Specific aim  To develop fluency in computation skills without relying

on the usage of calculators.

Lesson Objective (The By the end of the lesson, the learners would be able to:
purpose of the lesson)
 Differentiate between the Scalar and Vector
 Give examples of both Scalar and Vector

Subject content  Physical quantity is anything that can be measured

(concepts)  Vector is the physical quantity that have both magnitude
and direction
 Scalar is the physical quantity that have only the
magnitude

Teaching strategies  Demonstration

 Narrative method
 Socratic method

Teaching resources  Textbook (Stady and muster, Physical Sciences grade 11,
caps).
 Chalkboard
 Caps document

Prior knowledge  The learner is familiar with these two physical quantities
and give the examples of each quantity

memorandum)
ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY:

REFLECTION:
Did you achieve what you had prepared to deliver during the lesson?
 Yes, I did
What challenges did you encounter during the lesson?
 It took some time to understand the mechanism in the series and the parallel
connection.
How did you respond to the above-mentioned challenges?
 We conduct some practical, the first circuit connected in series and the second circuit
was in parallel. I left them to identify the difference in the first and the second
circuits.
What is it that you think you could do differently to improve your lesson development
and delivery?
 I must be ensuring that learner pay attention and listen to the teacher carefully. Allow
them to ask questions. Delivering the content slow because not every learner will
understand the topic easily and fast because speed kills.
