DATAGATHERINGPROCEDURE

The document discusses modeling different structural framing designs using soil data and NSCP 2015 standards in Staad Pro 2023. It applies loads, analyzes results, redesigns if needed, calculates costs, floor areas, and performs cost-benefit analysis to determine the most efficient framing.

CONCLUSION
Figure (_) : Flowchart of Data Gathering Procedure
The researchers will used the soil data gathered in the preliminary process

of the study solely for the earthquake loads. The design of the structures using

different frames will be modeled based on NSCP (2015) minimum standards in

Staad Pro 2023 and will be subjected to different types of primary load cases.

These loads include Dead Loads (D), Live Loads (L), Wind Loads (W), and

Earthquake loads (E). For the application of load combinations, the researchers

will used NSCP (2015) as a basis in conjunction with the built-in function of Staad

Pro 2023 which is STAAD.Pro load combination auto generator function in the

analysis of the structures. Then, the researchers will analyze the results and weigh

if the deflection values given by the software is allowable or not with the

deflection values stated in NSCP (2015). If not, the process will undergo re-

designing of the structures and if yes, the process will proceed to the cost analysis

of the materials needed to construct the structures, this analysis is only limited to

the beams, columns, slabs, partitions, and foundations. Afterwards, the

researchers will calculate floor areas from each type of framings and will apply

Price-Performance Ratio to determine which of the frames is the most efficient.
