SIXIN® DEFOAMER CS-1817

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CS-1817 antifoam is a polyether antifoam. It is recommended to be applied to polycarboxylate
water-reducer, ready mixed mortar and fiber cement board..
FEATURES
● The substance components of the antifoam do not contain the substances listed in the SVHC
list of the REACH Regulation.
● Antifoaming agent component does not contain NP, APEO.
● Good compatibility with application system.
COMPOSITION
● Composed of fatty alcohol polyether.

HOW TO USE
● This product is a mixture. There may be deposits or layering during shelf life, and it is
normal. Before using, stir the product evenly at 30 to 60 rpm and it will not affect the
performance of the product.
● This product can’t be diluted with water. If it is diluted with water, this product may appear
stratified; finally lead to the cost increase, SIXIN Company accepts no responsibility.
● It is suggested that the product is added in a place where the antifoam can disperse easily.
PACKAGE AND STORAGE
The product is available in 25-kg, 200-kg or 1000-kg plastic buckets. This product can be stored
as a normal chemical, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Don’t add acid, alkali, or salt
to this product. Ensure the container is sealed after using.
If burning, put out the fire according to the extinguishing method for general petroleum
products .When stored between 5 and 40℃ (41-104℉) in the original unopened containers, the
product is usable 12 months from the date of manufacture.

1 Test Conditions:
Test temperature: Normal temperature
Test medium type: Polycarboxylic acid water reducer
Test medium dosage: 45g
Antifoam use method: Direct addition of antifoam stock solution
Antifoam added amount: 0.2%
2 test method
1.1. Compatibility test:
Measure 40ml of water-reducing agent into 100ml sample bottle, add 0.080g of defoaming agent to be tested,
place the sample bottle in a rotary shaker for 4 hours (200rpm), and leave it for 24 hours to observe and record
the compatibility.
2.Internal antifoam inhibitor suppression test:
Measure 5g of foaming medium into a 250mL sample bottle, add water to dilute to 100g, place the sample
bottle on a vertical shaker and set the parameters: speed: 450rpm; amplitude: 30mm; oscillate for different
times respectively, and record the defoaming time after stopping.
3 Elimination and suppression rate calculation method
The ratio of the foam volume V formed by vertically oscillating the blank foaming liquid to the defoaming
time t' of each oscillation after the addition of the antifoaming agent. The data of vertical oscillation for 1 min
is recorded as the defoaming rate, and the data of vertical oscillation for 5 min is the foam suppression rate.
