Assessment Instructions:
Please refer to the Learning and Assessment Plan (LAP) for details of your lecturer and specific
assessment due dates.
Assessment Instrument:
All students are required to plan and deliver two (2) presentations, and then to reflect on them, to
address the requirements of this unit.
You should select two different topics for the presentations that should be related to the industry
area you are studying or job role.
Part A – Plan
You are now required to plan 2 short presentations. (7-10 minutes each).
As part of the planning and preparation for the presentation you are required to create a feedback
tool, which will allow you to collect feedback and review the effectiveness of your own presentation.
This will enable you to document changes that you will need to make to improve future presentations.
Steps:
1. Identify and confirm your presentation topics. You can confirm via email to your lecturer or speak
to them in class.
2. Complete the ‘Presentation Planning Review and Reflection Template’, provided at Appendix 1.
3. Develop your feedback form – to be distributed at the end of your presentation, to gather
feedback from the audience.
The Feedback form should include at least 5 questions which are designed to determine how
satisfied they were with the presentation, specifically how it was delivered and whether they
understood and learnt something from the presentation.
Please copy and paste the template to a new document and complete your responses. Submit in
Blackboard Assessment 2 Part A.
Part B – Deliver
Each presentation should be 7 – 10 mins in duration. Your assessor will be looking for you to
demonstrate your ability to:
Finally, submit the following documents via the Drop Box in Blackboard:
i. PowerPoint slides
ii. Presentation aids and supporting materials
iii. Feedback Form Template (with revisions if applicable)
iv. Completed Feedback Forms received from your audience
v. Video recording - (online students only)
Part C – Review
1. Collate and analyse the feedback received from your audience, via the Feedback Forms,
questionnaires, or online survey forms, and present in a simple table and/or graph/chart for each
Presentation.
2. Include a section within the table how you think the presentation went and what may be the areas
for improvement (200-220 words). Consider:
How effective was the presentation
Any relevant comments made in the feedback from participants or stakeholders
What changes might you include for future presentations
