Karamtara is an Engineering, Manufacturing and Technology company. Incorporated in 1996,

Karamtara began its journey in 1998, and since then Karamtara has evolved as a leader in
the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Segment of Power Sector.

Karamtara is the only company to offer one stop solution for most items in T&D segment, in
the world, manufacturing Transmission Line and Telecom Towers, Hot Rolled High Tensile
(HT) & Mild Steel (MS) Structural Steel Profiles, HT & MS Fasteners (Bolts, Nuts, Washers),
OHTL Hardware Fittings & Accessories, Spacer Dampers and Solar Structures.

In a span of 18 years, from a single manufacturing unit, Karamtara now possesses six
manufacturing facilities in India and Italy.

Transmission Line – Towers & Lattice Structures
Transmission Line Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is Karamtara's primary business vertical.
Karamtara manufactures entire range of Transmission Line Towers used in Power
Transmission & Distribution (T&D) with state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Boisar,
Tarapur, Distt Palghar in Maharashtra, located close to Mumbai. It boasts of a fabrication
and galvanizing capacity of 108,000 Tons per annum thereby making Karamtara, one of
the largest tower manufacturing facilities in India under one roof.

With more than a decade of proven excellence, it has capabilities to Design, Manufacture
and Supply Transmission Lines up to 1200 kV. Karamtara has successfully supplied over
525,000 Tons of Transmission Line Towers Lattice Structures to clients in more than 25
countries around the world. Karamtara's facility is amongst the most modern
manufacturing facilities in the country. It is certified under ISO 9001:2008,
ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 standards and CE EN1090-1:2009 + A1:2011. Our
manufacturing processes are carried out as per IS, EN, ASTM and other International
standards.
Structural Steel – Profiles
Since its inception in 2007, Karamtara Profiles has become synonymous
entitling in the Structural Steel Business in India. Karamtara products
include Angles, Channels and Beams, which find their application in
Transmission Lines, Solar Structures, Infrastructure, Construction, Industry
and others.

Karamtara utilizes latest technology in it's state-of-the-art manufacturing

facilities at Boisar, Tarapur and Nagpur, both in Maharashtra, India.
Karamtara manufactures High Tensile (HT) and Mild Steel (MS) Structural
Steel with IS, EN, ASTM, etc grades. It's Tarapur factory has an installed
capacity of 200,000 Tons per annum for both HT & MS Profiles, whereas
the Nagpur factory has an installed capacity of 80,000 Tons per annum
thereby providing with the combined installed capacity of 280,000 Tons of
Structural Steel, making Karamtara as one of the largest Structural Steel
manufacturer in the country.
Fasteners – Bolts, Nuts & Washers
Established in 2003, Karamtara Fasteners business vertical provides truly global services.
Karamtara provides special industrial fasteners to international clients in the
manufacturing and trade industries. It manufactures a wide range of Fasteners including
Bolts, Nuts, Anti-theft Bolts & Nuts, Studs, Foundation Bolts, U-bolts, Plain Washers,
Spring Washers, etc.

Karamtara's manufacturing facility at Tarapur has an installed capacity of 30,000 Tons per
annum. This factory manufactures HT & MS fasteners for Power Transmission &
Distribution Industry, Telecom Tower Industry, Automobile Industry and others. With close
proximity to the Mumbai Seaport, the plant has a massive locational advantage, which
has enabled Karamtara to provide swift deliveries to clients across the globe.
Hardware Fittings – OHTL Hardware Fittings,
Accessories and Spacer Dampers
Karamtara started it's Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) Hardware Fittings, Accessories and Spacer
Dampers business in the year 2011 with the acquisition of Iselfa Morsetteria S.r.l, Italy and signing a
technology license agreement with Wise Control Inc., South Korea to cater to the demands of the Power
Transmission and Distribution industry in both domestic and global markets.

Karamtara has a state-of-the-art OHTL Hardware Fittings, Accessories and Spacer Dampers factory at
Tarapur, Maharashtra, India with following products in its manufacturing range:

With technical support from Iselfa Morsetteria and Wise Control, Karamtara's Indian manufacturing unit is
highly competent and qualified to manufacturer Hardware Fittings, Accessories for Extra High Voltage
(EHV) Transmission Lines of 400kV, 500kV, 765kV and above ratings. The manufacturing unit uses modern
testing facilities and has been certified in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Solar Structures
Karamtara is one of the largest manufacturers of solar module mounting structures in
India. Karamtara offers a wide range of mounting solutions for all types of solar projects.
The in-house production, quality control and continual product development guarantees
excellence of the entire product range. Due to its optimized and cost-effective solution, in
a very short time Karamtara has become a recognized supplier for solar mounting
products supplying to all major Solar PV EPC companies.

Iselfa Morsetteria S.r.l, Italy
In 2011 Karamtara acquired 100% capital of Iselfa Morsetteria S.r.l., an Italian
Company, which is engaged in the business of Hardware Fittings and
Accessories for over last 75 years and is qualified with most of the Electricity
Boards/Utilities across the World. Over these years Iselfa's legacy boasts of and
is known for its competence in innovation, design, manufacturing, testing, and
delivery performance. Its supply of products in over 45 countries is a testimony
of Customer's confidence in its quality and deliverance.

Iselfa has supplied fittings for Transmission Lines upto 1000 kV voltage class. It
has the ability to design and promptly supply fittings at competitive prices. Most
of the designs have been successfully type tested in laboratories of international
repute in close coordination with renowned consultants and institutions.

At the heart of its success lie a reliable supply chain, highly experienced and
talented manpower, state-of-the-art internal infrastructure and urge to achieve
more all the time and set high standards.

Its manufacturing facility is amongst the most modern in the country and is
certified under ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007
standards.

Wise Control Inc., South Korea

Karamtara has signed Technology Collaboration Agreement with Wise Control (WISE), South Korea
in the year 2011 for Design & Manufacture of Spacer Dampers, Conductor Accessories &
Hardware Fittings where in Wise Control will provide:
 Assistance and guidance in building factory infrastructure
 Designs
 Technical assistance including study and approval of all designs undertaken by Karamtara

Design and Engineering
In a fast changing industry environment, it's always challenging to

At Karamtara, the Engineering department is highly experienced
in Designing and Developing products for various project
requirements. Engineering capabilities are backed with best in
class design tools including AutoCad, SolidWorks, PLS – Tower,
BoCad etc.
