All the details given in the prospectus are related to the hostel admission only
and not in any way applicable to the child’s admission to school or college. The
Principal / the Headmaster will admit the child by following the existing rules
framed by the Department of Education from time to time.
Introduction
Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Educational Institutions are established by the divine
blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba as well as the missionary zeal of
Late Rev. Madiyala Narayana Bhat, the founder president of the institutions.
For more than five decades, the institutions have grown into various branches
known to impart value based education. The cluster of schools run by the trust
at present include a fully residential CBSE School (class VI to X), a high school
and a pre university colleges affiliated to Karnataka State board with hostel
facilities for boys. The hostels are run by Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Sangha (R),
Alike. These hostels function according to the foundation of the ancient
‘Gurukula’ system of education with modern academic facilities. The main
aim of the Institutions is to foster Indian culture and tradition in the minds of
children along with scholastics.
The Institution is located at Alike village, 6 kms away from Vittal town, in
Dakshina Kannada district. It is surrounded by magnificent green hills with
beautiful scenery and situated far away from the distractions of cities. The serene
environment of the institution provides a conducive and favourable atmosphere
for the students to pursue their studies.
Some unique features of the institution
The motto of the institution is Atma Kalyana and Loka Kalyana.To attain
this goal, education is imparted based on five fundamental universal human
values - Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema and Ahimsa.
All important national and religious festivals, birthdays of great saints,
patriots and religious leaders are celebrated.
Faith in the fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man is instilled through
moral classes, prayers, bhajans, stories and parables drawn from different
religions of the world.
The students are taught to be self-reliant, active and practical, and are
encouraged to develop a sense of social obligation and service-
mindedness.
The students are provided with homely atmosphere.

Discipline holds utmost significance within the campus premises.
All students are required to wake up at 4:55 AM, and participate
wholeheartedly and punctually in the group prayers and other scheduled
activities for the day.
On designated days, students must wear the prescribed white uniform.
Additionally, specific uniforms for yoga, sports, and games are mandatory.
Maintaining absolute cleanliness and tidiness in hostel rooms, study areas,
and throughout the campus is expected from all students.
Lights will be turned off precisely at 9:55 PM after the general prayer.
Following the prayer, everyone is expected to retire to bed. Students are
permitted to rise even before 4.55 AM for studies, if necessary.
Loud voices and idle chatting are strictly prohibited. Complete silence must
be observed in prayer sessions, dining hall, study hours and during public
programmes.
Students are not permitted to grow moustaches and beards, nor wear flashy
or extravagant clothing, multi coloured lungis, bangles, bracelets, or gaudy
garments. Simple and decent attire is mandatory for all students.
