Narrative Report
To enhance our skill and work ethics it is necessary for us to undergo basic
training which allows us to develop our self to become as one of the professional role model.
I together with my classmates was assign to have an immersion in Alicia Local Government
Employees Cooperative (ALGEC) at Magsaysay, Alicia, Isabela. The days that I spent during my
work immersion is one of the most amazing and memorable journey that I had in my life. I
learn a lot of lessons including the work habit of a responsible employee that I may apply to
myself someday. I explore new things that help me to grow and mature enough.I experience
new situations and encounter different things about the course that I am taking. Our mentors
and superiors support us to the task that they gave and when we commit mistake they cheer
us to correct it and they thought us how to work with other people. I can personally say that
in our immersion site we have one of the best mentors and we are very thankful for their
kind treatment and accommodation. I’m very grateful that they expose me so much on what I
must know regarding the work which suits my course. I appreciate the working environment
because they are very focus on their work and very approachable in terms of what I need to
know.
Our immersion provides set of knowledge and practices that we need to use to personally
grow as an individual and I learn to have wise decision making in terms of circumstances. I
learned how to manage my time and make it productive most of the time by accomplishing
the task that given to us. I enhance my intelligent by solving a lot of problems through the
given computation of the activity inside the cooperatives and I learned how to professionally
deal with people. One of the learnings that I’m excited to deal with is the teachings about the
course that I am taking which is accountancy and I’m proud to say that I learned how to
compute and balance the account of the member of the cooperatives, how to process the
application of a new loan applying in the cooperatives, renewal of loan, restructured loan and
many more. I was also trained to prepare debit and credit memo, disbursement etc. I was
able to do this which I enjoyed so much. The everyday experiences in the ALGEC serve as a
guide for my future service. The knowledge that I acquire here is quite special because I was
able to explore new things that cannot be teach by just sitting but actually action. Indeed this
work immersion is a wonderful journey that develops the student more applicable for future
work and prove that learning cannot be done by just studying it but also by doing it the way
the professional does. I am thankful for this opportunity and I am glad because I was assign in
a great immersion site.
