These philosophies reflect various viewpoints on the goal of music. 2.1 THE UTILITARIAN PHILOSOPHY OF MUSIC EDUCATION. - applied to evaluate and appreciate music based on its ability to promote, pleasure, happiness or other positive experiences for individuals or society.
