I. OBJECTIVES
 The learner demonstrates an understanding of him/her during
middle and late adolescence.
A. Content standards  The learners demonstrate of the various aspects of holistic
development: physiological, cognitive, psychological, spiritual,
and social development.
 The learners shall be able to conduct self-exploration and
simple disclosure.
B. Performance Standards  The learners shall be able to illustrate the connections
between thoughts, feelings, behaviours in a person’s holistic
development.

 Identify causes and effects of stress in one’s life

Objectives  identify some signs that an adolescent suffers from stress;

 recognize the importance of knowing the causes and

IV. PROCEDURE Teacher’s Activity

The teacher will do a short review of the previous lesson by asking


(Pre-Developmental) the following questions:
A. Reviewing Previous Lesson or
Presenting the New Lesson
 How does stress affect your daily life?
 Identify any patterns or triggers in your daily life stress?
The teacher will start the lesson and present the objectives to the
class.
B. Establishing a purpose for the

3) Recognize the importance of knowing the causes and effects
of stress to create possible solution.
C. Presenting The teacher will ask the learners to do a collaborative activity titled
Examples/Instances of the New “Mind Mapping.”
Lesson Activity 1: Mind Mapping!
The teacher will ask the class the following instructions:

1. Divide the class into small groups.


2. Provide each group with a large sheet of paper and markers.
3. Instruct them to create a mind map illustrating the causes and
effects of stress.
4. Each group should present their mind maps to the class and
explain their choses causes and effects.
The teacher will flash the PowerPoint presentation for the interactive
discussion about the Causes and Effects of stress in one’s life.

 Increased complaints of headache, stomach ache, muscle
pain
 Crying most of the time
 Withdrawal from people and activities
 Increased anger or irritability
 Feelings of hopelessness
 Chronic anxiety and nervousness
 Changes in sleeping and eating habits
 Lack concentration
 Experimentation with drugs and alchohol
 Hangout with friends
Stress can be overcome through:
 Looking for someone to talk with like friends, family and
relatives and share problems with them.
 Think positive that you can handle your stress.
E. Discussing New Concepts and  Take time to relax by exercising and having a workout.
Practicing New Skills #2  Do things that are important one at a time.
 Get proper sleep.
 Train your mind by thinking that all things get well.
 Face your fears.
 Work on your worst scenario and expect that something good
will happen.
 Focus on what you can control and let go things that are
incontrollable.
 Lower down your standard as long as it will not ruin your
plans/ ambitions.
 Have a break and engage in enjoyable activities.
 Accept yourself as you are because you are peculiar.
 Identify your unique strengths and focus much on them.
 Remember that you are part of the intricate plan of your
creator.
Activity 2: Spin the Wheel!
The teacher will spin the wheel that contains the name of the
students, then when the spin stop, whoever’s name the arrow lands
on, she/ he will pick a question from the box and share her/ his
answer to the class.
F. Developing Mastery (Leads to
Formative Assessment 3) The class will answer the following questions:
1. What Lesson do I get from my failures?
2. What taught me from lack of money?
3. What did I learn from pain, sorrow and depression?
4. What taught me through illness?
5. What did I learn from waiting?
6. What did I learn from my family, friends, peers that help me
grow?
The teacher will ask the learners to do the activity titled “My
reflection.”
