B. BODY
I. Six basic steps to build personal branding
1. Step 1: Know yourself
- First, you should find yourself a quiet space, take a deep breath and ask
yourself: Who am I? What do I like? What am I doing? … to give you time to
face yourself.
- In addition, at present, some of the methods such as Ikigai; or MBTI
psychological test questions; or The Big Personalities that help us discover
ourselves are also widespread.
- Next, boldly chat and ask the manager; mentors or colleagues who always
support you in your work on your strengths; own weaknesses. Do you feel
shy? Do not worry. Let's start with an invitation to drink coffee or milk tea and
then skillfully strike up a conversation!
6. Step 6: Evaluation
- Once we have certain results, we need to seriously consider and evaluate our
personal brand; since then, we continue to edit, improve day by day. You can
rate it in two ways:
o From your own perspective: Do you see yourself in this direction? After
consideration, if you feel that although the personal branding you
create is not 100% yourself, it is a lever to enhance your appearance,
personality, life values, etc…
o From the perspective of people around: Listening to opinions and
comments from people around will help you know what is appropriate
and inappropriate, expanding more objective perspectives.
II. Eight golden rules to help you build a successful personal brand
1. Set clear goals
- What are your goals for personal branding? Like getting people's attention?
Or increase your chances of getting an offer (invitation) from your business
before you want it?
- When you clearly define your goals, you will also be motivated to pursue them
to the end. Besides, remember to map out a clear roadmap for your personal
brand to take steps to build and develop solidly and long-term.
3. Be yourself
- If you try to be a classy, polite person, while your personality is so close and
simple. “The needle in the bag also comes out,” you will not be able to exude
the elegant elegance of those who have pursued such a style so sincerely
and for a long time.
- Moreover, your followers will also feel unfriendly and "cheated" if they find
yourself behind that "mask". This will also negatively affect your personal
branding and image. So don't be anyone, be the best yourself!
