2 When the flight crew sets the "e ASKID & NW STRG sw to 5 OFF the alternate braking mode is
activated. Consequently the PF should release the brake pedals before the PM selects the
AISKID off. This action avoids brutal braking application.
For information on the alternate braking mode, Refer to DSC-32-30-10 Altemate Braking
Without Antiskid,
i) [AVSKID OFF.
(2 The PF orders the PM to set the ASKIDE NAW STAG ‘sw to OFF,
KX] [AVSKID & NW STRG.

CREW OXY MASKS DILUTION.
- To save oxygen, set the oxygen diluter selector to the N position
- Ifthe oxygen diluter selector remains set to 100 %, oxygen quantity may be insufficient to
cover the entire emergency descent profile
- Ensure that crew communication is established with oxygen masks. Avoid the continuous
use of the interphone to minimize interference with the breathing noise in the oxygen mask.

Always follow RA orders, even if this results in crossing the intruder altitude, because these orders
ensure the best altitude separation.
CAUTION Be aware that the intruder may have a TCAS, and may maneuver in response toa
coordinated RA order. Therefore, not following an RA order could compromise safe
separation.

necessary, use the full speed range between Vamax and VMAX.

If Windshear is detected, both PFDs display a WINDSHEAR message. An associated aural
WINDSHEAR alert sounds three times.
If the flight crew detects WINDSHEAR, apply the following recovery technique:
@ Takeoff:
@ If before V1:
It there are significant variations in airspeed, and in airspeed trend below the indicated V1,
reject the takeoff.
z If windshear occurs during the takeoff roll, the aircraft may reach V1 later (or sooner) than
expecied. The flight crew should ensure that there is sufficient runway remaining to stop
the aircraft, if necessary.
@ Hatter V1:
THR LEVERS.

If necessary, the flight crew may pull the sidestick fully back.
Note: If the FD bars are not displayed, move toward an initial pitch attitude of 17.5 °.
Then, if necessary to prevent a loss of altitude, increase the pitch attitude.

THR LEVERS AT TOGA.
AP (if engaged).

If necessary, the flight crew may pull the sidestick fully back.
Note: — 1. The autopilot disengages, if the angle of attack value goes above alpha prot.
2. If the FD bars are not displayed, move toward an initial pitch attitude of 17.5 °.
Then, if necessary to prevent a loss of altitude, increase the pitch attitude.
