Table 1: Total 50 1 Type of
Machines that a repairman had worked on.
(a). The Data above posses a qualitative data in a level of measurement under nominal data since
the repairman have classifies the data into types or category thus this data is a Qualitative-Nominal
Data.
3.
(a). The data above posses a Quantitative data in a level of measurement under Interval data since
the data involves order and the difference between two values is meaningful, thus Quantitative-
Interval Data.
Interpretations:
In terms of Measure of relative position, Q3 =75%, implies that three-fourth of the data are below or
equal to 86.75, while the remaining one-fourth are above 86.75. While in D6 = 60%, thus more than
half of the test scores got below or equal to 78.80 while the remaining 40% got score above 78.80.
Moreover, a P30 = 30% of the sample data scores got below or equal to 58.80 and the remaining
70% got above or higher the score of 58.80. Overall, the scores in statistics final examination results
to an average performance however 3 of them got a perfect score which neutralizes the lowest score
of 38.

a. The above data posses a Quantitative data in a level of measurement under Interval data
since the data involves a test scores that specifies the distances between interval on the scale
thus, Quantitative-Interval Data
Interpretations:
In terms of Measure of relative position, Q1 =25%, implies that one-fourth of the data got the score
below or equal to 39.50, while the remaining three-fourth are above 39.50. While the D8 = 80%,
majority or eighty percent of the scores got below or equal to 85.20 while the remaining 20% got
score above 85.20. Moreover, a P50 = 50%, whereas half of the sample data scores falls below or
equal to 61 while the remaining half got above or higher the score of 58.80. Overall, the test scores in
marketing study resulted to a favourable test.
5. The interest rates on 30-year mortgages offered by 150 randomly selected banks in NCR are
recorded below.
Mean 19.31%
Median 18.80%
Mode 18.59%
Range 12.99%
Variance 0.08%
Standard deviation 2.84%
Q3 20.90
D2 16.56
P90 22.89
Interpretations:
In terms of Measure of relative position, Q3 =75%, implies that three-fourth of the data fall under the
interest rate below or equal to 20.90, while the remaining one-fourth are above 20.90. While the D2 =
20%, 20% of the interest rate falls below or equal to 16.56 while the remaining eighty percent are
above 16.56. Moreover, a P90 = 90%, whereas ninety percent of the sample data falls below or equal
to 22.89 while the remaining got above or higher the 22.89. Overall, the interest rate with a
reasonable rate tends to be favourable to most banks in NCR since this rate is safe in liquidity risk.
