the same thing, but we're just talking to others. We can post our days and ideas ont he internet
and we can have so many friends on the world (from different countries too).

There are so many opinions about the internet: it’s isolates people, it creates computer
addiction, internet addiction. Internet addiction, if you can’t live without your
smartphone, you’re always busy with your phone. There are people who misspell, use too
many abbreviations (rövidítés), I think. It's also irritating when you don't see the facial
expressions, don't hear the intonation (hangsúly), because you can easily misunderstand
things. But we can make more friends with them, make more contacts, ask them to do their
homework, get to know other cultures and find a lot of information on the Internet. You can
learn online (cooking, baking) from others (foreign languages) or from yourself, e.g. playing
the guitar.

GADGETS, ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES

We live in a digital world, because we use so many digital devices (eszközök) and we
couldn't imagine our life without them. Most people work with their computer or laptop.
I think we can’t live without our smartphones, because people always want to see everything
and they are afraid that they will miss something (lemarad). Most universities require
(követel) you to register for the exams online.
There are many digital devices: laptop, projector, tablet, smartphone, mobile phone, e-
book, i-pad, GPS device, MP3 or MP4. Advantages are that we can do everything easier,
faster and more comfortable. Smartphones offer the following functions: you can send
telegrams by phone, wake up, show out the punctual time and phone number of another
participant. There is also a possibility on the Internet, where there are timetables
(menetrendek), cinema and theater programs. You can also find out about the lottery
numbers. Nowadays there are many technical things to teach with. We can find many
different sites and applications for learning, such as Zoom or Google Classroom. You can
order lunch or dinner, call a doctor, look up illnesses on the Internet. On the one hand
you can be reached anytime and anywhere, on the other hand you can reach your family
members and friends at any time.

They have different tasks. They work with Wifi. With a smartphone or cell phone, we can
make calls and do almost anything we want. We can do our thing online (e-banking, book
tickets/entrance tickets, order meals). We can take pictures, send emails.

With an E-book we can read books for free or cheaper. With I-Pad we can listen to music
or read, draw, play, because there are many applications with which we can do these things.
Tablet is the same as an I-Pad. GPS helps when we want to travel somewhere and we don't
know how to go there. Young people learn computer skills at school. You can find a lot of
new information or a partner on the internet. What is it called WWW? WWW stands for
World Wide Web. It is an information system that allows documents to be connected to
one another through hyperlinks and accessed via the internet.

Disadvantages are for example. that many people are computer addicts. In today's modern
world, everyone watches the computer, the laptop and of course the smartphone every day.
But there are young people (and adults too), who are always sitting in the front of the
computer and eating in the front of the laptop. It makes computer addiction and internet
addiction. There are also legal and illegal downloads, for example from movies or various
applications. Our personal data can be stolen (photos on the internet, e-mail addresses,
passwords). It is very common for the hackers to break into a bank account and steal a lot
of money.

SCIENCE

There are many people who use robots to clean the house and to care for the elderly. They
are used in automatic moving cars in auto industry. I think that robots will be used
everywhere in the future, so there will be many unemployed people. Because the robots do
the tasks of humans, we become superfluous (felesleges).

I think that the most important scientific developments are medicines and smartphones
because they make our lives easier. With new mechanical things, we can go from one place to
another in a matter of seconds (pillanatok alatt; trains in Japan). But it is bad that more and
more powerful devices (the bombs) are developed. Space exploration is a good thing, I think,
because we need to know what's around us in space.

TECHNOLOGY IN EVERYDAY LIFE

We should use the technology in everyday life. It helps us in our work and revolutionizes the
world. If you have a dangerous job (nuclear radiation, fire), the robots can replace you
without having any problem. It also makes household chores easier and faster because
there is a dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine.
Production is becoming faster because of the machines. By car we can travel faster and more
comfortably than with a bicycle or if we had to ride a horse. But it also has disadvantages:
because of robots and the AI, there are more and more unemployed people, there are jobs
that are disappearing (megszűnik). Because robots do the jobs of humans, we become
superfluous (felesleges). It isolates people, it creates computer addiction, internet addiction.
Internet addiction, if you can’t live without your smartphone, is always busy with your
smartphone. Old people may feel bad and not adapt to the changing world (alkalmazkodik) if
they do not cope with the technology. Furthermore, we do not know the harmful side effects
of the electrical rays they emit. You move less and there are a lot of exhaust fumes in the air
because of the cars. A computer worm is a type of malware (rosszindulatú) software that can
automatically propagate or self-replicate without human interaction, enabling its spread to
other computers across a network. A worm often uses the victim organization's internet or a
local area network (LAN) connection to spread itself.
Besides that various viruses are ont he Internet, which can cause that somebody steals our
money from our bank account or just our datas. Flaming is a form of cyberbullying that
involves repeatedly posting insulting (sértő) and intimidating (megfélemlítő) language at
another user in an online forum. Technostress is, when somebody can’t adapt tot he new
gadets and tot he Internet and feel distress about it. Technophobe a person who
fears, dislikes, or avoids new technology.
The Glossary defined a computer cracker as an individual who attempts to access computer
systems without authorization. These individuals are often malicious, as opposed to hackers,
and have many means at their disposal for breaking into a system. And hackers are also
dangerous due to these things.
