When we talk about file and folder


sharing, there are a few things you
need to know about, what exactly
file and folder sharing is, and what
it is for.
 Themain purpose for file and folder
sharing is to make files and folders
accessible by sharing them to other
people on the network. Each folder at
the top of the folder tree, needs to
be shared separately
Subfolders, which are folders
located under the main folder, are
shared, while the main folder is
shared.
Setup File Sharing
in Windows 10
 In order to Share Files on your computer with others, you
need to switch on Network Discovery and File/Printer
Sharing options on your computer.
 1. Click the Start Button
 2. Click the Settings
 3. Click Network & Internet
 4. Find and click on Sharing Options.
 5. Click advanced sharing settings
 7. choose Turn On Network discovery and Turn On
file and Printer sharing and click Save changes
Share Files
Using Basic File
Sharing
 1. Right-click on the Folder containing Files that you
want to share with others and click on Properties.
 2.On File properties screen, select the Sharing
tab and click on the Share button.
 3. On the next screen, select the “User” that you want
to share files with. If the User is not available, type User
Name and click on the Add button.
