Our world is full of amazing engineering and building initiatives that seek to accomplish the

unachievable. These massive construction projects, like the Neom Mega-City and the International

Space Station, are altering the face of the planet. In this video, we'll take a deeper look at the top ten

global megaprojects starting with the International Space Station.

The International Space Station, which is expected to cost $150 bilion, is at the top of our ranking.

The biggest human-made object in orbit, this famous space observatory has been constantly

inhabited since 2000. Six people live and operate on the space station, which was developed jointly

by the United States, Russia, Canada, Europe, and Japan.

With a broad variety of tests carried out in disciplines like physics, biology, medicine, and Earth

observation, the International Space Station is a singular stage for scientific study and technical

advancement. With astronauts regularly performing spacewalks and trying equipment that might

one day enable human travel to Mars, the space station is also a significant move towards human

discovery of the solar system and beyond.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which links mainland China's Hong Kong, Macau, and Zhuhai,

is the next item on our list. This 55-kilometer sea bridge is the largest in the world and is believed to

have cost $20 billion.

The Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau Bridge is a feat of architecture that includes a 6.7-kilometer

underwater passage and two man-made islets that act as entry points. The bridge was constructed

to promote tourists and commercial development in the Greater Bay Area, which includes nine

southern Chinese towns, including Hong Kong and Macau.

The Riyadh Metro, which is expected to cost $23 billion, comes in at number three on our ranking.

The goal of this enormous building project is to improve the city's transportation situation and lower

air pollution levels. Six routes, 85 stations, and more than 170 kilometers of rail will be part of the

metro system.
One of the biggest urban transportation initiatives in the world, the Riyadh Metro features a

cutting-edge system with autonomous trains, cutting-edge signaling, and smart pricing. More than 6

million people will be served by the metro network, which will link the city's commercial sections,

neighborhoods, and significant sites.

The fourth-most expensive airport, with a projected cost of $29 billion, is the Istanbul New Airport.

The existing airport in Istanbul, which is congested and inefficient, is being replaced by this new one.

With a capacity for 200 million people annually, when it is finished, it will be the biggest airport

facility in the world to be housed under one dome.

A significant aviation undertaking, the Istanbul New Airport will link Europe, Asia, and the Middle East

as a major air transport center. Modern technology will be present at the airport, including a

cutting-edge luggage system, sophisticated security measures, and a terminal layout that puts

traveler comfort and ease first.

The South-to-North Water Transfer Project in China, with an expected cost of $80 billion, comes in at

number five. The purpose of this enormous infrastructure project is to move water from China's

water-rich southern region to its water-scarce northern region. Three paths, 44 tunnels, and more

than 1,000 kilometers of waterways are all part of the endeavor.

Over 100 million people in northern China are anticipated to have access to water security thanks to

the Water Transfer Project, one of the biggest water transfer initiatives in the world. The initiative

encourages sustainable growth while also assisting in easing the water shortages that have afflicted

the area for decades.

The Jubail II Industrial City in Saudi Arabia, with an expected cost of $100 billion, comes in at

number six. This enormous industrial complex is being constructed to develop Saudi Arabia's

petroleum and manufacturing sectors and provide employment opportunities for the nation's

expanding populace.
The Jubail II Industrial City is a sizable industrial compound with cutting-edge buildings and

infrastructure that covers more than 22,000 hectares. When finished, the complex, which consists of

petrochemical factories, oil refineries, and industrial facilities, is anticipated to generate over 100,000

employment.

The California High-Speed Rail, with a projected cost of $77 billion, comes in at number seven.

Through this ambitious project, San Francisco and Los Angeles will be connected by a high-speed

train route that will reduce the distance between the two cities' journey times from six hours to two

hours and forty minutes.

One of the biggest infrastructure initiatives in the country, the California High-Speed Rail has 24

stops and more than 1,300 kilometers of track. It is anticipated that the initiative will ease traffic on

California's roads, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and generate thousands of employment.

The Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai ranks eighth, with a projected expenditure of $32

billion. This airport is being constructed to act as Dubai's main airport, with a capacity of up to 220

million people per year.

The enormous Al Maktoum International Airport features cutting-edge amenities like a six-runway

system and the biggest airport building in the world. The airport is a component of Dubai's goal to

develop into a major center for transportation and aviation while promoting regional economic

development.

The Beijing Daxing International Airport, which is thought to have cost $17 billion, is ranked ninth.

This brand-new airport, which will service Beijing and the neighboring area, is planned to

accommodate up to 130 million passengers annually, making it the busiest airport in the world.
Beijing Daxing International Airport is a vast aircraft endeavor with cutting-edge technology, such as

a high-speed rail that links the airport to central Beijing in just 20 minutes. The airport is a

component of China's attempts to develop its aviation sector and satisfy the country's rising air

transport demand.

The Neom Mega-City in Saudi Arabia, with an approximate cost of $500 billion, comes in at number

ten. The goal of this ambitious project is to build a futuristic metropolis that is fueled by sustainable

energy and has cutting-edge technology. It will span more than 26,000 square kilometers and be

situated in Saudi Arabia's northwest along the Red Sea shoreline.

An innovative project called the Neom Mega-metropolis seeks to build a modern, technologically

sophisticated metropolis that can serve as a model for future urban growth. The city will be fueled by

sustainable energy sources like wind and solar, and it will include digital houses, self-driving cars,

and sophisticated healthcare facilities.

These megaprojects are not only stretching the limits of what is possible, but they are also changing

the way we live and work. These initiatives are forming everything from sustainable communities to

space research, showing the incredible strength of human ingenuity and creativity, as well as the

destiny of our planet.

Megaprojects will undoubtedly continue to play a significant role in influencing the way that our

world is shaped as we turn to the future. These initiatives have the potential to have a significant

effect on our lives and the world around us, from enhancing infrastructure and generating

employment to fostering innovation and supporting sustainable development.
