Unit 7 Environmental Protection:

1. Well,on Earth Day,there are a lot of things that I do. For instance, I,as well
as my family members, turn off all electric appliances in the house for one
hour. Besides I also help to clean my neighborhood, pick up rubbish and
treat them….
2. There are a number of factors that contribute to water pollution. One of them
is domestic rubbish and industrial rubbish that are dumped to the rivers,
lakes. Moreover, the overuse of chemical in agriculture alsp adversly affect
underground water( mạch nước ngầm)
3. . To protect the environment, we can do many things. For example, we can
use public transport instead of private vehicles to reduce the amount of
exhaust fumes released.Or we can follow 3Rs rule to treat the rubbish,which
means reduce,reuse and recycle.
4. To reduce my footprint, I think that I will stop buying things that are
contained in plastic containers. Besides I will use renewable energy as an
electric generator for my house
5. Well we can name several environmental issues such as air pollution, water
pollution,deforestation and so on…
Unit 8 Shopping:
1. Supermarket is always the place I like come to go shopping because
at this place, there is a vartiety of goods and products that I can
choose and meet my demand. Also, I like to come here to buy things
due to the high quality of products here
2. In the era of high techonology, online shooping offers us a lot of
benefits. Firstly, it is very convenient. Only with a click, you can
order what you want online and just wait for that without going out.
Moreover, when accessing to online shops, we will be provided with
a number of products, which gives us opportunities to opt for.
3. Going shooping brings us many merits. First of all, it widen your
horizons about the market nowadays. When shopping you can
approach many unique products that give you information about the
market. Moreover, going shopping helps to enhance our social
connection cause you can stand a good chance of meeting new
people who share the same hobby with you.
4. Definitely yes. There are many ways by which advertisements affect
my shopping style. To illustrate, when seeing an advertisement about
any particular products, I will have the feeling that I need them and
spend money cause it may have persuasive effect and contain the
information that I need.
5. To be frank I am a shopaholic(người nghiện mua sắm). Whenever I
feel bored I will go shopping. Sometimes I can go out and buy lots of
unneccessary things for no particular reasons.
6. Well I think that the main purpose of a shopping list is that it helps
you to clarify what you really need to purchase when going shopping
so that you won’t spend much money on useless things.
Unit 9: Natural disasters
1. In order to protect our environment, there’s a lot that we can do.
For example, using public transport to reduce exhaust fumes
released, grow more trees and so on
2. I think that prevent and prepare for natural disasters is pretty
difficult but it doesn’t mean that it is impossible. We can watch
weather forecast so that we will take precautions to deal with the
consequences of any natural disasters
3. There are some kinds of natural disasters like tsunami, earthquake,
volcanic eruption…
4. Well …, I guess that the most common natural disaster in my
country is earthquake. Due to some recent news, which records the
number of casualties during the earthquake and the frequency of the
occurence of an earthquake, I think that earthquake is the most
common natural disaster in my country.
5. After each natural disaster, there are a lot of people in need of help.
As a result, we must take steps to help them. For exmaple, we can
donate money or things like clothes to voluntary organizations. Or
we can volunteer to go to places that are struck by natural disasters
to help them with various things
Unit 10: Communication in the future
1. To be frank, I spend about one-thirds of one day to use social
medias. To be specific, I spend around 8 hours surfing social
network platforms(nền tảng mạng xã hội) such as Facebook,
Tiktok and so on
2. I think that in the future, I will still keep in touch with my
peers(=friends) via social medias because I think that this way is
the most convenient way and people will no longer give up this
way to contact their acquaintances
3. I am a kind of person who really like using emojis when texting.
I must admit that I am an emojis addictor. I always use emojis at
the end of each sentence as I feel that it is really funny and
somehow can express my emotions at that time.
4. Well I think that using video call nowadays is quite popular
besides texting. It helps you to see other people’s faces and know
what they are doing. However, if you want the video call become
smooth without the interruptions, it requires good Internet
connection so I feel that sometimes it is pretty unpleasant
because my Internet connection is not always good.
5. Despite the existence of online texting or video call, I always like
face-to-face communication the most. The first reason is that you
can understand what you are listening without worrying about
Internet connection. Moreover, you can know whether the story
is being told is true or not as you are having a direct chat.
6. I think that ways of communication now and in the future will be
not too different. I mean, in the future, people will still use social
media platforms like Facebook,Messenger or Twitter as the main
ways to communicate. However, if there is a significant
breakthrough in the development of transportation, people can
teleport to the places of other people as a way to keep in touch.
