1 learn vocabulary - T introduces the vocabulary. T-S mins related to the topic. New words: 1. independent (adj) 2. trust (earn sb’s trust) 3. convince (v) 4. responsible (adj) 5. encourage (v) 6. from time to time 7. out and about - T introduces the vocabulary. T-S - T explains the meaning of the new vocabulary T-S - T checks students’ pronunciation and gives feedback. T-S - T observes students’ writing of vocabulary in their notebooks. ACTIVITY PRACTICE Task 1. Listen and read. (5 mins) 10 2 - T asks Ss to look at the pictures in the T-S mins book as well as the dialogue and answer the questions. Questions: - What can you see in the picture? - What do you think they are discussing?

- T plays the recording ONCE. Ss listen T-S and read. - T asks Ss to practice in group 3 and S-S then call random 1-2 group to read the conversation aloud. Task 2. Remind Ss to locate the speaker’s line that contains information for each skill. - Ss work independently to find the answers.
