CENTRE FOR BANKING AND FINANCE

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND VISION


I, Twinkle Bhandari of 2020-25 batch feels privileged to be given this opportunity to
represent myself as a candidate contesting for the post of President, Vice President and co-
head for the academic year of 2022-23. I have been a member of this cell for past one year
and have gained enough of experience working with this centre which has helped me to learn
and grow at personal as well as at professional level. My heartfelt thanks to Mr. Kishore (our
faculty in-charge), Siddhi (our President) and Joseph (our Vice-President) who has guided
and has shown me a way throughout.

MY VISION
My vision as far as far is concerned is to make this centre as one of the most active and
efficient centre of Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad. Not only this I want this centre to be
known as the best centre not only within the boundaries of SLSH but also outside its
boundaries having done enough work. I want this centre to be known for the kind of work we
do, the kind of working environment which we have and for having the best members who
are hardworking, dedicated and have ample skills. I want all people across the country to
know more about banking and finance sector, the importance and need of this sector and all
the laws which govern the same and to persuade them learn more about this particular area.
Now since its a very crucial time the pandemic situation has almost settled down things are
becoming better most of the students are looking for opportunities to learn and explore we
will take up this golden opportunity to increase our reach and for ultimate growth of our
centre, what we need to focus on is to fulfil the expectations of people and to cater their needs
and provide them with what they expect from us, provide them the all the knowledge which
they feel was really helpful and beneficial for them particularly for building up and enhancing
their skills.

AREAS OF PRIME IMPORTANCE WHICH WILL HELP TO


FACILITATE CENTRE'S GROWTH
 Better coordination and understanding
 Activeness of the cell
 Avoiding any kind of conflicts, arguments and last minute hassles
 Meeting of mindsets of all the members
 Learning from each other's mistakes
 Opting for organised and systematic working

HOW CAN WE BRING THESE ABOVE MENTIONED POINTS INTO


ACTION -
1. CLEAR AND PROPER DISTRIBUTION OF WORK - Although, there are
different departments in the centre ensure division of powers and functions but what is
important is to now focus more on and ensure division of work at a broader level
within each department, allotting work to different set of work to different members
and keeping a track of the same. This will also help in time management and better
coordination amongst all members thus avoiding any kind of last minute work and thus
moving one step ahead in achieving the goals of the centre.
2. HAVING REGULAR MEETINGS AND ENSURING THE WEFARE OF ALL
THE MEMBERS-
Team meetings must be conducted on regular basis ensuring availability and
convenience of all the members. This will ensure smooth functioning of the centre and
will also increase efficiency of members and will result in quality of work. All the
concerns of the members must be take into consideration and all the issues faced by
them must also be addressed at the earliest. This will give them surety that they are an
integral part of the centre and a long term solution should be found with the agreement
of all the members. This will also lead to better communication amongst the members.

3. FOLLOWING A SYSTEMATIC HIERARCHY AND ENSURING DECIPLINE-


A particular system needs to be followed in the centre which help ensure disciple,
proper management of the all the activities and effective working of the centre. This
will also result in more transparency amongst the members and lead to less
complexities and competition a task within time.

4. ALWAYS ADDRESSING AS “WE” INSTEAD OF “I” -


Whatever success or failure we have it must always be addressed as WE have
successfully achieved a milestone or if we fail it always the failure of the entire team.
It is not only you or me because of whom an event has turned to be a successful. Those
are the time and efforts which every single member of the centre has invested in
performing every little bit of it. So addressing as “WE” will inculcate team spirit and
motivation among all the members. This will also result in less arguments and
conflicts among the team members.

5. ADOPTING POSITIVE ATTITUDE-


This is all about accepting all the problems and challenges in a positive manner.
whatever the issue might be you should always take it up in a positive manner. You
positive Attitude will have a positive impact on all other members as well. This is the
key ingredient which will help the centre to grow and achieve heights.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLES- Manging all social media handles and frequently
posting of relevant content which is informative for everyone and will add to our
knowledge. This is one efficient tool with which we can step one step ahead towards
achieving our goals and will help to expand our roots via the online platforms as well.
Thus, adding to the activeness of the centre.

WHAT MAKES ME APART FROM OTHER MEMBERS –


1. OPTIMISM AND CONFIDENCE –
My optimistic approach my work my ability to take up all the tasks and challenges in
a positive and an optimistic way is one trait which sets me apart from other members.
My confidence is another trait which I thing is an essential thing.

2. ONE WHO STANDS BY HER WORDS- I am a person who stands by what I say.
I will do full justice to whatsoever position is given to me and will work to the best of
my ability and capacity and will set new higher standards for myself which are to be
achieved for the growth of the centre.

3. QUICK DECISION MAKING – My quick decision making skill is also another


trait. Analysing the entire situation properly and making quick decisions and
suggesting effective and long term solution to any problem. I opt for a practical
approach after giving a proper thought analysing its applicability, reasonability pro
and cons and taking into account other relevant factor as well rather than saying
anything without going into its credibility.

I, Twinkle Bhandari take oath to fulfil all my responsibilities and will do justice to my
position as an office bearer and I promise that CBF will continue to hold its glory beyond the
boundaries of SLSH and as an office bearer I promise to build a family in CBF where each
existing member would want to work forever and new members wish to join.
