b. Take part in initiatives that improve intercultural understanding.
c. Gain an understanding of variety and practice being grateful in cross-
cultural interactions.

Introduction and Warm -up

Ask pupils to briefly describe a cultural practice that they may find
interesting. This sets a positive tone for the session

Concept and Exploration 20 mins Mini Lecture

Discuss the role of gratitude in fostering positive intercultural


relations , Provide an examples of communities that exemplify
harmonious diversity

INTERCULTURAL RELATIONS-
Interactions and connections between individuals with diverse
cultural backgrounds.

These exchanges can take place at several levels, such as the


individual, community, and international levels. Conversely,
intercultural knowledge is the capacity to identify, value, and honor
the distinctions as well as commonalities among cultures. In order
to successfully negotiate and cross cultural barriers, it also entails
learning empathy and communication techniques.

INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING –
- refers to the ability to appreciate, respect, and effectively
navigate cultural differences and similarities.
- It entails cultivating communication skills, empathy, and an
open mind in order to engage with others from various
cultural backgrounds.

READ THE STORY OF THE GRANDPATHER'S JOURNEY with regards


to cross-cultural understanding and relationship.

Examine the effects of thankfulness on fostering relationships and


clearing up cultural misunderstandings.

Putting Ideas Into Practice: Cultural Fusion

Give pupils the tools they need to illustrate the various aspects of
other cultures that they find appealing.

Consider their pals who share comparable traits and their friends
who come from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Make a Journal
What may be learned from Grandfather's voyage story?
Stress the importance of thankfulness in fostering a friendly and
inclusive community.
Additional Notes
Promote an open discussion regarding cultural differences in order
to pique people's interest and understanding.
