LEARNING TASK 10 ARTICULATING MY PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY OF

TEACHING

Performance Task 1
Observe your cooperating teacher for several weeks and months.

How does she/he exhibit the qualities of caring, respect and integrity?
Integrating good classroom management. Setting of standards are also
vital inside the classroom to ensure the students respet to the teacher

As a teaching intern, how did you exhibit the qualities of caring, respect and
integrity?

As a student teacher, I established bounderies between me and my studendts. I


ensure that the limitations set between my students and Me will show authority in class. I
always listen my students’ opinion/s to ensure conducive learning. I respect my students’ life
as they respect me. I show compassion when teaching them and I think that makes them
enjoy the class while I am teaching

Performance Task 2
A. Cite specific instances on how you establish professional links with your
colleagues.

With my colleagues, I help them whenever there were times that they need help like

lending my laptop for them to have a good visual material during their discussion. I

also established respect to my colleagues, as they return the favor to me by respecting

me also. My colleagues and I worked together to have a harmonious relation with each

other, especially to have a good relationship with our cooperating teachers also. I

appreciate their efforst everytime they have an achivement and Ilisten to their everday

story about their class.

B. Interview your CT, ask him/her how she/he establishes professional links
with colleagues.
My cooperating teacher is known for being smart and a friendly colleague. My

CT always tell me to trust your colleague because through that, they will trust you

also. My CT establish a good proffesional links with his colleague by respecting

and trusting them.

Performance Task 3
Write your personal philosophy of teaching.
As a Pre-Service Teacher (PST), my philosophy of teaching is guided by a student-
centered approach that prioritizes the individual needs, interests, and strengths of each
learner. I believe that education should be a collaborative journey between teacher and
student, where both parties actively engage in the learning process. Therefore, I aim to
create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity,
allowing students to explore and discover knowledge in meaningful ways.

Central to my philosophy is the belief in the importance of holistic development. Beyond


academic achievement, I recognize the significance of nurturing students' social,
emotional, and ethical growth. I strive to cultivate a classroom culture characterized by
respect, empathy, and inclusivity, where students feel valued, supported, and
empowered to take risks and learn from their mistakes. By fostering a sense of
belonging and promoting positive relationships, I aim to lay the foundation for students
to become compassionate, resilient, and responsible individuals.

As a PST, I am committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. I recognize that


teaching is a dynamic and evolving profession, and I am dedicated to continuously
refining my pedagogical practices, incorporating new research, and staying abreast of
emerging trends in education. Through reflection, collaboration, and ongoing self-
improvement, I aspire to become an effective and inspiring educator who positively
impacts the lives of my students and contributes to the advancement of education as a
whole.
