ME301 Numerical Analysis

Spring 2024, Kyung Hee University

Byeongchan Lee ([email protected])

Lectures
- Tue & Thu 10½ - 11¾
- Place: Room 165, Engineering Building

Office hours
- Tue 13 – 14 @ Room 405, Engineering Building

Objectives
- To understand how to translate mathematical expressions to computer programs
- To better implement numerical solutions
- To gain hands-on experience in scientific computing

Course description
This class provides students with the opportunities to experience ‘scientific computing’ in
two ways. First, students are exposed to problems with no analytic solutions, and expected to
construct the procedures to solve the problems using a computer. Second, students learn
programming not only as a workflow but also as a logical interpretation of mathematical
expressions behind the workflow.
