CARDINAL RULES
Major Offences include any breach of the following Cardinal Rules:
42.4 Safety Cardinal Rules § Life Saving Rules
12.1.4Breach of Isolation Procedure
12.1.2 Operating/Maintaining Equipment without a License
12.1.3 Removing or Disabling Safety Device
12.1.4 Breach of Fitness for Work Policy
12.1.5 Reckless Operating of Equipment
12.2 Company Cultural Cardinal Rules
12.2.1 Never verbally, physically, or sexually harass, abuse, discriminate against
or physically fight with another person.
12.2.2 Never steal or deliberately tamper with or damage any property not
belonging to you or have in your possession any product or device that can
be used for such purposes.
12.2.3 Never falsify any documents, falsely use any access cards or deliberately
offer misteading information.
12.2.4 Never offer or take a bribe.
12.2.5 Never breach Company Policies and Code of Conduct
42.2.6 Always accurately report all incidents to your supervisor immediately
42.2.7 Never instruct or collude with another person to violate the Cardinal Rules.
CATEGORY OF OFFENCES AND PENALTIES
13.1. The severity of disciplinary action shall be dependent on the circumstances
of each case, including the mitigating and aggravating factors, which shall
also be taken into account.
13.2 When deciding whether or not to impose the penalty of dismissal, the
chaitperson of the disciplinary hearing (or the chairperson of the appeal, it
any) in consultation with the Human Resource Department must, in addition
to the gravity of the misconduct, consider factors such as the nature of the
Ieb, the heumstances of the Infingement Heal and the employee's
uumstances, incluciing the length of service, the seniorily of the employee
in the Company, previous disciplinary record and personal circumstances
