But why does baking make you feel better? It’s not just about getting to eat a yummy
treat when you’re all done but it acts a big role too. Baking helps you express yourself. Like
any creative pursuit, baking is a form of self-expression that helps relieve stress. A recipe is
just a recipe until a baker comes along to make it- pouring a little bit of their passion,
creativity, and love into it. Baking is a form of mindfulness. It makes you become more
focused and aware of what you are sensing, feeling and doing. It requires close attention
when measuring, handling dough, taste testing, and following a recipe. Because of the focus
required, this can help ease feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress.
Baking is also an act of creativity. It helps you feel more relaxed, happier and
enthusiastic about life. In addition to that, creative acts can contribute to a feeling of personal
growth. Baking is a sensory experience that does not only follow a recipe but it is about
experiencing the recipe with all five senses like sense of touch, sense of sight, sense of
taste, sense of smell and sense of sound. Sense of touch is required when doing things like
kneading, dough, checking the softness of butter, shaping pastry, and decorating cookies.
Sense of sight functions by determining when the dough has risen or when the cookie has
turned to brown in color. Sense of taste is needed along the way to ensure that flavors are
balanced and complementary- and of course, it’s definitely needed at the end when you
scarf down the first bite before anyone else. Next is a sense of smell, it can help you know
when that the baked product is just right or when it’s burned- and it’s perhaps the biggest
tease, as you are forced to wait for thingAnd lastly, baking is a sense of sound but it is often
used, but just as valuable when it comes to baking. Listening to cakes can tell you if they’re
baked through, and who doesn’t find the sound of crackling bread right out of the oven
therapeutic?
In addition, baking offers a delectable career option for those who have a passion for
baking and want to turn it into a profession. With growing job opportunities, competitive
salaries, entrepreneurial opportunities, and a high level of job satisfaction, baking can be a

Malunggay Cupcake is gonna be the solution to your kid’s picky eating habit. A very healthy
and delicious cupcake infused with vitamin C from Moringa leaves.
Nowadays, young ones are not too fond of eating nutritious food like vegetables. That’s
how adding veggies as ingredients to fun recipes have become really helpful. For this
recipe, I added some malunggay leaves to one of the children’s favorite treats -
cupcakes! Believe it or not, the recipe was a huge success. My little picky eaters
absolutely loved it!
Fortunately, these leaves are commonly found almost anywhere in the Philippines.
Sometimes you may even notice a tree growing beside your house. So it is not much of
a worry where you can get moringa leaves.
The fresh malunggay leaves are the most important part of this recipe. They will
provide lots of nutrients that we can benefit from. And of course, it will give our
cupcakes a We’ll be using white sugar as our main source of sweetness for these
treats. You may opt for other alternative sweeteners like honey and brown sugar too.
It is a must to be specific in using certain ingredients like unsalted butter when it
comes to baking. However, you may use salted butter for other recipes if it is the only
available variation in the supermarket. Just try to decrease the salt that you’ll be using.

for baking. It will enhance the overall flavor of the cupcakes.
Eggs are also almost always present in making baked goods. Giving color and flavor
are some of what it contributes to the recipe.
Adding milk will help retain moisture and achieve softness on our treats. It also provides

Vanilla extract works like salt in baking. It enhances the flavor of baked goods,

bland.
