I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
Define Conflict
Determine the two types of Conflict (External and Internal)
Perform the given task applying the types of Conflict
III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
(The teacher will call one representative from the class)
b. Greetings
(The teacher will greet the students)
c. Checking of attendance
(The teacher will check the attendance of the students)
d. Reminders
(The teacher will give some reminders)
e. Motivation
What are the problems or challenges you have encountered and
what lesson you learned from it? Students will brainstorm
Those problems/challenges or struggles that you have encountered are
what we call Conflict.
(The teacher will post the definition of Conflict on the board and discuss it.)
Conflict- refers to the central struggle between opposing individuals or forces. It
is a problem or a disagreement that the characters are dealing with.
Conflict has two types (External and Internal).
1. External conflict- refers to the conflict that arises between a person and an
external force, such as between characters, between a character and society, or
between a character and uncontrollable events.

c. Man vs. Nature
d. Man vs. Circumstances
2. Internal conflict -within a single character–may include Man vs. Self
(psychological). It depicts the main character's personality as well as the problem he or
she creates.

B. Analysis
In your own words, can you please define what conflict is?
What is the difference between External and Internal Conflict? any
representative from the class.
C. Abstraction/ Generalization
The teacher will facilitate the discussion about the two types of Conflict
and its Subcategories and let the learners generate the ideas.
What are the four (4) subcategories of External Conflict?
What is the subcategory of Internal Conflict?
D. Application
(Group Activity)
The learners will be divided into 4 groups and let them perform the given tasks.
Group 1. Make an essay about a conflict between Man vs. Nature
Group 2. Draw a picture that illustrate two people who are arguing to each other.
Group 3. Think of a relevant conflicts that is happening now a days in our country
and dramatize it.
Group 4. Kindly create a dance steps applying an Internal Conflict.
V. Evaluation
The teacher will give an activity on a ½ sheet of paper. (1 point each.)
Directions: Identify the type of conflict in the given sentences as External or Internal.
Write EC if it is external conflict and IC if internal conflict. Write your answer on the
space before each number.

If you are the Mayor of the Municipality of Tupi, How will you resolve the conflicts about
