ABSTRACT
In recent years, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has grown in
importance as a component of corporate strategy. Companies are
understanding the importance of CSR in terms of brand reputation,
employee engagement, and social effect. In this case study, we look at
ICICI Bank's donation of Rs. 1,200 crore to the Tata Memorial Centre
(TMC), India's foremost cancer care facility. We examine the reasons
for the contribution, the impact it has had on the TMC, and the lessons
that may be drawn from this example for other businesses.
The financial industry, with its dynamic and significant role in global
