TABLEAU DESKTOP 2021 STUDENT LICENSE STEPS
Step 1 - Go to the Tableau official website link - https://www.tableau.com/academic/students

Step 2 – Create your account and Click on upper right side Tab “FREE STUDENT LICENSE”

Step 3 - After clicking on “FREE STUDENT LICENSE”, a new
screen will appear. Fill the details “Country”, “Personal
Information” and “School Information”.

Step 4 - Click on “VERIFY STUDENT STATUS”. You will need


your Matriculation Certificate, University Email or any
document provided by your university for verification.

Step 5 - After verification of your student status, you will get a


Product key in your Email Address which you gave in
“Personal Information” section.

Step 6 - Copy the Product key from your Registered Email.***


***You will get Product Key Information (Alpha-numeric) to your registered Email.

TABLEAU DESKTOP 2023 INSTALLATION STEPS
Step 1 - Go to the Tableau Desktop Download link -
https://www.tableau.com/products/desktop/download

Step 2.1 - Give your Consent by clicking ‘Yes’. And then, Click on ‘DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL’

Step 2.2 - Please Click on ‘Mac’ Icon for Apple Users and follow the instructions.

Step 3 - This will start downloading the .exe file for Windows, visible at bottom left corner. .

Step 4 - Once the download gets completed, open the exe file.

Step 5 - A new wizard will launch. Check the Check the box
box and Click in “Install”.

Step 7.0 - When the Tableau installation is finished, the
“Tableau Registration” window will appear.

Step 7.1 - Click on Activate Tableau and Enter your


“Product Key” (Check your Registered Email).

Step 7.2 - Enter your credentials.

Step 7.3 - For Alumni, Please follow step 7.2 and click on
“Start Trial now”.
(Trial Validity - 15 Days only)***
*** The Trial version is suitable for Alumni (Non-Enrolled) for hand on practices during the Workshop sessions.

Step 8 - On Completion of Tableau Registration, a screen will appear which will read some
instructions. You click “Continue”.

Step 9 - In case, students forgot to apply the Product Key in Step 7.1, then open Tableau Desktop
which is already downloaded in your systems.

Step 10 - Open Tableau Desktop and Click on “Help” tab (Left upper side).

Step 11 - Then Click to “Manage Product Keys”.

Step 12 - Click on “Activate…” Tab.
