OBJECTIVE: Congratulations, YOU’RE DONE WITH THE FREAKING SENIOR PROJECT! Summarize your Senior Project
experience by reflecting on your entire process and writing a memoir on your journey.
■ What were the best and worst parts of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar?
I think the best parts were definitely when the speakers came in and talked to us about adulting stuff, like
managing your finances and where to get started when it comes to building wealth. I think the worst part about
the class was definitely the planning part of my senior project. It was a lot to plan.
■ List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
I now know the steps that come with your taxes and the different forms you must complete. I also learned about
the process that comes with conducting your own social experiment.
■ Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did you feel about and react to
this challenge?
Definitely the planning i had to talk to so many different people and make sure everything would go as plan and a
lot of it was behind the scenes as well I had to do a lot of research on this specific experiment and then I had to
make sure everyone was on plan with what I had going on so it was definitely a challenge.
■ How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work habits, capabilities, confidence,
poise, presentation, etc.)?
I think I have definitely developed a new outlook on the senior project as a whole. I thought it was really dumb
going into senior year, but when actually going through the process and the steps, I actually really enjoyed it. I got
to do something that I found interesting and something I never thought I'd be able to do. In terms of capabilities
and skills for my project, I had to do a lot of stuff that I had never done. I had to plan out a lot of different things
with so many people, and I had to teach an entire classroom something I thought I'd never do in my life.
■ What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior Seminar process again?
Getting started earlier I was very scared with getting the experiment done, and having enough time to do
everything else in time for the practices in our senior sem class. I would also switch the actors in my senior
project, I feel like having a group of friends really had people question things.
■ What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification do you have for that grade?
I think in terms of giving myself a grade for my senior project I'd have to give myself an A. I spoke to many
different teachers about my project, and they all had similar things to say about my project. Being that they
haven't really seen something like this, and it sounds very interesting. I'd say from the outside it might not look
like that hard but a lot goes into making sure an experiment is done in the correct way.
