Therefore, we must find the area of the circle to find out the maximum area the goat can graze.
We will use the formula A= 𝜋r 2 to find the area of the circle.
3. What do you think is the measure of the radius of the circle? The radius is equal to the length of the
rope which is 3.5 m.
Let us solve for the maximum area the goat can graze.

4. What is the answer? Therefore, the maximum area that the goat can graze is 38.465 m2.
