Motivation:
The teacher will show two sets of pictures the students will observe and tell to
what they observed.

The teacher will ask the following question.


What did you observed in the set A?
What did you observed in the set B?
What have you notice class from the picture?
What does the message it convey?
What do you think will be our lesson for today?

Discussion:
The teacher conducts the lecture discussion about fiction and non-fiction.
FICTION NON-FICTION
What makes them difference?
FICTION- It is made-up or imaginative story which includes the elements of a story such as characters,
settings, and plot.
Types of Fiction
*Fantasy
*Traditional literature

*Realistic fiction
Non Fiction- It refers to factual stories that are based on real people and true events.

Types of non-fiction
*Biography
*Autobiography
*Informational Text
*Journalistic Text

Generalization:
What do you think is a fiction?
1. On the other hand, what is all about non-fiction?
2. What are the characteristics present in the fiction and non-fiction?

IV.Application:
The teacher divide the class into three groups. Each group will create a Venn diagram to
compare and contrast between fiction and non-fiction. The group will be given 10 minutes to
complete the task and another 3 minutes to present in the class.

Criteria:
Explanation to the topic 20pts
Content 20pts
Teamwork 10pts

V. Assignment:
What to do: Research and give 1 fiction and 1 non-fiction story
What to write: short bond paper
What to submit: on our next meeting
