The 22 Amp. Alternator (PIN 1536554) and external Diode Fuse
regulator (PIN 1810770 &6569477 -700, 720 Only) are
being replaced by the 18 Amp. Alternator (P/N
6599740REM) with internal regulator. To install the Starter
alternator with internal regulator, use the folowing Alternator
procedure and wiring diagrams. MC-1427

NOTE:600 &900 Series Only: Also order a diode (P/N

3675725) for installation of the new alternator. 2. (Figure 1]: (Figure 2] or [Figure 3] Remove the wires
from the regu•ator connector.
1 Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the
battery(ies). 3 Remove the requlator from the loader.

4. Disconnect the "R" &"F" wires from the old alternator.

5. Disconnect the "8AT" wire from the alternator.

6. Remove the old alternator from the mounting bracket.

7. Remove the nut, washer, pulley and fan from the old
alternator.

NOTE: The "" and " symbols shown on the

ammeter indicated the "+" and "." terminals
on the back side off the ammeter where the
wires connect.

 8. Install the fan, pulley, washer And nut on the new Flgure 3
alternator. Tighten the to (50f b)68 N"m torque

Installthe alternator into the mounting bracket. Adjust
the alternator bell to the corect tension. Tiglhton the

11. [Figure 1]; (Figure 3] Cut the wire and use solder to
install the diode (PIN 3675725) into the wire which
Alternator goes to the "1" terminal.

NOTE: The band on the diode must be toward the
alternator.
10. [Figure 1]: (Figure 2] or [Figure 3] Connect the "1" &
w2" terminal wires. 12. Instal the rubber boot on the "BAT" wire. Connect the
"BAT" wire to the alternator with the rubber boot in the
down position.
13. Connect the negative (-) cable at the battery(ies).

IMPORTANT
Damage to the alternator can occur it:
Engine is operated with battery cables
disconnected.
Battery cables are connected when using a fast
charger or when welding on the loader. (Remove
both cables from the battery.)
Extra battery cables (b00ster cables) are
connected wrong.
