Project Overview:
Our project aims to create a wireless motion-activated alarm system.
Components used:
Microwave radar sensor for motion detection
RF 433MHz transmitter and receiver modules for wireless
communication
Additional Components:
Resistors, capacitors, and transistor for circuit control and signal
processing
3x Timer 555 IC configured in monostable and astable mode
Buzzer and LEDs for alarm indicators
Functionality:
RF transmitter triggers the receiver upon motion detection.
Receiver activates both visual (LED) and audible (Buzzer) alarms.
Motion Activated Wireless Alarm System 2 / 10
Motion Sensor Module
Description:
This module has been designed as
an alternative to the PIR motion
detectors commonly used in burglar
alarms.
Instead of sensing changes in
infrared light emitted by a moving
person, this sensor uses a
microwave Doppler radar to detect
moving objects.
It has a sensitivity range of 7
meters.
When triggered, its trigger output
pin will switch from (LOW) 0V to
high (3.3V) for 2 to 3 seconds Figure: RCWL-0516 Microwave Radar
before returning to its idle LOW Sensor
state.

Response Time:
Achieved a response time of less than 1 second from motion detection
to alarm activation.
Detection Range:
Successfully detected motion within a range of up to 7 meters.
Maximum Practical Distance:
Achieved a wireless communication over distances of up to 50 meters
in closed areas between the transmitter and the receiver.
