1. You choose a gift=present for your friend’s birthday: a selfie stick – a camera – a 3 day trip

- a 3 day trip – that is because you/my friend can go to NK quay/DL city, because it has beautiful
views and you can enjoy them. Secondly, it also has delicious dishes such as Pho, Bun dau mam tom,
Banh mi and so on - it helps reduce stress after school. Finally, you can learn about new cultures,
custom and habits in my country/in this city. It is very necessary to help you widen your knowledge/ it
helps you widen your knowledge.
- As for a selfie stick, although it helps you take a lot of photos beautifully and conveniently, I don’t
choose it. That is because it isn’t popular and not useful now. People can use their smart phones to
take a lot of photos easily.
- As for a camera, although it is modern and helps you take a lot of nice/great photos or make a
beautiful video easily, I don’t choose it. That is because it is very expensive, it is about 20 milion
VND. Besides, it has a lot of functions so it is very hard/complex/difficult for you to use it.

- Ha Noi city – b/c it is the capital of VN – one of the famous places where attract many tourists every
year - so famous and developed – many entertaining places such as … and so on. it is famous for Mot
Cot pagoda, Guom lake, Old Town and so on – enjoy many a lot of interesting activities such as
hanging out, enjoying local dishes … and taking a lot of to save your memories.
- HCM – very developed and has many beautiful views – b/c a lot of people and vehicles on the
streets – I can get/have traffic jams in the rush hours easily – some places in HCM, they are very
polluted.
- Hue city/ancient capital – many beautiful places/landscapes and/as well as delicious dishes – b/c
weather is so hot – not suitable for foreigners – not many entertaining places – feel bored and not
funny at all

50000 VND – suitable for students.

- Shopping – can buy new clothes and help me relax – b/c I am a student, I have to save money to buy

- Department store - Very modern and nice, and many choices to buy products/items b/c very
expensive – products are not fresher than products in the traditional market

it is not funny at all – far from home … it’s about 10 kilometers from my home – so it takes much
time

- The School can hold many academic courses for students such as main/major courses + language
courses + soft skill courses and computer courses – it helps students develop their knowledge and
ability and mindset – we can teach more major lessons which are beneficial for them. Therefore, it
helps students become skilled and educated people – it is very necessary for students to find a stable
and good job in the future.
- Personality development – important and necessary – it helps students become good and kind and
smart/humble people – b/c there are a large amount of students in school so it is hard for us to do
this/develop their personality development – need to combine with their parents and their friends to
educate them and through many aspects of our society
- Relaxed activities – it helps students Relax/reduce stress (comfortable, relax) – enjoy a lot good
songs and interesting activities – can meet their idols b/c it costs a lot of money – have to decorate
the school yard and have to invite famous singers, it is about 100m VND for relaxed activites – only
suitable for rich students/rich school.

31. You have 1 million dollars, activities you do to protect the environment: plant more trees,
recycle waste/untreated water, recycle hospital equipment
- Hospital  crucial/essential/important now, pandemic diseases have still ocurred around the world,
especially Covid-19 – pandemic disease takes place - many places, cities, countrysides, poor
regions/remote areas – In remote areas, they lack medical equiment and money to take care patients so
it will help them receive medical treament. It is so meaningful and ethical.
- Trees (useful, create the fresh and cool air) it helps our environment decrease the air pollution  b/c
plating trees doesn’t need much money – it is easy and simple to do – everyone can plant ….many
places: houses/forests/parks/schools…..
- Water (necessary,useful for people/citizens) it helps people have the fresh and clean water resource
and help us save money  it is hard to do and we have to build/contract/establish treated water
systems- we also need the complicated/complex equipment and modern treatments/methods - we
have to import modern equiment from other coutries - cost a lot of money – responsibility - is not ours
(belongs to)the government.
32. Your younger sister tells lies: tell her – tell/inform parents – let her do continue
- Talk her – this is the first time she told lies so I don’t tell my parents – I will talk with her directly –
we can share her problems and find the best way to help her – tell her that lies are not good, besides, I
will ask her why does she tell lies? – she and I are very close so I can deeply understand her – it is the
best way to help her recognise/understand her fault/mistake - advise her / give some useful advice
- Imforming Parents – although my parents can help her understand her mistake/fault b/c this is the
first time – don’t need to inform parents, my parents so strict - it causes a small conflict in the family
– it makes my family unhappy – She can be punished by parents.
- Of course, I don’t let her continue telling lies  b/c it is the bad habit  not good for her - should
prevent and don’t let her keep this bad habbit – this is my responsibility
33. your younger brother loves a girl at school: let him continue but under your control, stop
him, inform with parents
- Let him love this girl – it helps him feel happier and more comfortable - help him have a motivation
to learn well, besides doesn’t affect his learning/academic perfomance – if I stop him/If I make him
stop loving this girl so, he will feel very sad and disappointed - angry – it can affect his
learning/academic perfomance, he doesn’t want to go to school or talk with me or family members -
will do stupid and foolish things.
- Stop/if I stop him, he will feel very sad and disappointed, moreover, he has his own decision – I
respect his own choice

stop loving this girl – so it affects his emotions, mind and life a lot.
34. cheating in exam: zero, reduce 50% of the marks/grades, getting out of school …

- zero  cheating is not good and a very bad habit  it affects and reduces our learning/academic
perfomance – it makes students become a bad and lazy person – so they don’t have a motivation to
study anymore/ don’t have motivation to learn well - make us lazy – they depend on cheating. If we
give students zero score, they feel very afraid – they will not do/cheat again  we can give them a
chance/opportunity to study again to take other exams – it helps students recognise their faults - learn
better and have more knowledge
- 50% (afraid), although it is good idea and make students afraid- b/c it is not strict enough – so they
will do/cheat again – don’t study - learn hard / rivise lessons
- School  although it is quite good choice – b/c too strict  it isn’t suitable for cheating in exams –
…. – the first time - getting out of the school is only suitable/special for committing school violence -
take part in terrorism - ‘terrorists
35. Fine(V) smokers in public places: fine (v) 500.000vnd, do community service, put in the
prison/jail
- do community service - Firstly, doing community service helps smokers have better awareness of
protecting the environemnt. That is because, when they do community service they will remember
their faults. In addtion/secondly, when we make smokers to do community service such as plating
trees, helping/caring poor and old people and gathering garbage. These are beneficial activities for our
society.
- As for, although fining 500000 VND, it is very useful and reasonable, I don’t choose it because it is
a small fine. It doesn’t help smokers raise their awareness or remember their faults/ they will smoke in
the public places again.
- As for putting in the prison, although it helpss our community end this matter, - b/c it is very strict
and also unreasonable. Putting in the prison is suitable for offenders/criminals
36. ways to lose weight: go to the gym, have balanced diet, CCC (keep hydrated)
- have balanced diet - cheap/easy/affordable - best way to loose weight - should eat a lof of fruits and
vegetables such as carrots, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sallad, spinach, sprout-beans,
eggs and fish, shrimps,… - we should cut down unhealthy fat and sweets - drink a lot of water every
day - limit/restrict soft drink - beer - wine – losing weight is also good for our health –b/c we can
avoid many serious diseases and live longer

make me feel confident and nice - b/c costs much money for a gym course - need a personal
trainer/coach to do gymnastic - sometime encounter dangers while doing gym lessons - need modern
equipment to do exercise
As for CCC, Although CCC is also a good way and good idea to … đề ……., many people can do and
it is very easy - I don’t choose it, that is because it is not suitable for people/me. It is/makes me feel
inconvenient and uncomfortable and tired/miserable and it costs a lot of money. Besides, it is not good
like other ways such as AAA, BBB.
37. improve learning quality: teacher assignment, peer assignment, facilities
- facilities  if we invest and improve teaching tools such as air conditioners, experimental/practical
lessons, projectors, modern computers and so on. It helps students absorb/understand lessons
effectively. Moreover, teachers can transfer/convey their knowledge to their students easily and
smartly and effectively.
- Peer assigments – although – help students be harder and spend their much time for their study 
don’t choose – because if they learn or study a lot, it affects their health badly and causes some
diseases such as eye disease, heart/mental disease and feeling tired after school. It is very bad.
- Teacher assigment  although it helps teachers improve their teaching skills and prepare their new
lessons carefully  I don’t choose it  b/c it makes teachers feel under the pressure, stress  it may
affect to their teaching quality

- Both marks and comments are - can assess our students correctly and clearly – it helps them
understand the important knowledge about their lessons and exams so they can regconise/aware their
important faults in their exams – therefore, they can learn from their experience from their exams – so
it helps them learn/study better and they will have good/higher marks in the next exams/semester
- comments - good and helps them learn from experience about their faults - b/c can not help teachers
evaluate/assess their learning process. Therefore, they don’t know that they progress/develop day by
day – it makes them lack of enthusiasm/motivation of learning and doing homework
- marks - helps us assess our students correctly and help students know their level and knowledge –
b/c it can’t help them recognise their faults in their exams - can’t learn from their experience
40. a group of friends want to find out the VN history: Going to the museum, watching
documentaries, reading history books
- they can buy a VN history book or an English book about VN history – Besides, it is cheap, about
50000 VND - easy to buy/borrow from the library – it is free- can ask me/teachers/local people buy
these books for them - can read everywhere/everytime such as coffee shops, classes, their home… the
contents are easy to understand and remember these knowledge
- going to the museum - can see many ancient pictures/things/weapons of war - know about devotion
and dedication of forefather/ancestors – busy - lively - funnier - b/c quite much/costly for a ticket,
about 1 milion per a person – far from our school - Not famous and popular in my country
- watching doccumentaries - learn more things than we read a books or go to the meseum - can watch
old/ancient activities about my forefathers/ancestors - more understand – b/c have to buy a ticket –
just have a few VN history movies which are suitable for foreign friends – history movies are made in
Vietnamese so my foreign friends or foreigners don’t know to speak Vietnamese and they will not
understand the contents.
