English

1.Reading for pleasure improves children’s life chances across a range of social, educational
and well-being measures. "Read Your Way” calls on children to let go of pressure and
expectations, giving them a choice – and a chance – to enjoy reading.
Read any one of the following story books:
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Mark Twain
Gulliver’s Travels - Jonathan Swift
Malgudi Days - R.K. Narayan
Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens
Enid Blyton - The Famous Five Series
Use your creativity to prepare a colourful sketch of your favourite character in that story
on an A4 size sheet. Write at least eight to ten lines about that character.
2. Taking a break from studies once in a while is very important. It freshens up our body and
mind. What is your hobby? Click pictures and create a picturesque collage while engaging
in your hobby and describe your feelings and experience about the same in your own
words.
3. Prepare a chart of different types of nouns giving examples and create an attractive
representation by pasting/drawing relevant pictures.

Mathematics

1. The pin code represents a system which divides the country into different regions, so for
better communication codes are given to different cities. Note down the pin code of Uttam
Nagar, JanakPuri East, Tilak Nagar and Moti Nagar.
a) Write the Number Names of the pincode of above places.
b) Write the place value of all the digits of all the pin codes.
c) Write them in expanded form.

SCIENCE

I. ‘Organic Food’ is grown without any chemical fertilisers or pesticides. Read more about
such food. Visit a supermarket and look for the section selling organic food. Write the
obtained information on an A4 size sheet.

II. Imagine you are a news reporter writing for a science fiction magazine. Go on a journey
with a water molecule from pond to the sky and back to the pond again. Describe the
experience of the water molecules. Write about the change in form and the process behind
it.
III. Certain plant parts are used to make musical instruments. For example, the flute is made
from a bamboo plant. Find out more about such musical instruments. Mention the parts of
the plants used to make these instruments. Collect the pictures and make a ‘Musical
Collage’.

IV. Animals found in oceans are also of various types, depending on whether they live in the
upper layers, middle layers or near the bottoms of the ocean. Find out more about these
animals and their adaptations. Draw a picture of it on an A4 size sheet.

ART INTEGRATION
MAKE LEAF SKELETONS
Take a few leaves from a banyan tree. Soak them in water for a few days till they rot.
Remove the rotten leaves and wash them. Carefully scrape off the top layer of the leaves with
the help of a brush. Wash the leaves again. Your leaf skeletons are ready.

SOCIAL STUDIES
1.Family plays a very important role in our lives. We need family members to share our
feelings, moments of joy and sorrows in life. Write 5-6 lines on ‘Importance on family in
your life’. Describe an incident in which your family helped you in any worst situation.

2. Learning Braille Script


a. Braille is a system of raised dots that the visually impaired people feel with their
fingertips. Write a secret message to your friend who is visually impaired using Braille
alphabets. Draw the Braille alphabets on A4 size sheet along with the secret message.

3. A journey to the Northern Mountains.

5. ART INTEGRATION
India is divided into six major physical divisions. This distribution is made based on the
physiographic nature of land. This has the advantage of being easy to understand and
visualize.
On a physical map of India, mark the six major Physical divisions with the help of different
grains and pulses. Prepare a key for the map.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

I. Shopping is fun! There are many materials used to make shopping bags. List the
advantages and disadvantages of the different shopping material given below.
II. Collect pictures related to the earthquake that occurred in Taiwan, Japan on April 4,2024.

Paste them on an A4 size sheet. Find out the main cause of earthquakes in Japan
and write about problems that the people faced.
