BRIEF

1. General. Due to frequent changes in fuel, lubricants and spares prices,


a need was felt to revise per hour operating cost of the aircraft held on the
inventory of section-3. Detailed study was carried out for both fixed and rotary
wing aircraft using available data.
2. Operating cost includes aircraft variable costs and fixed costs. These costs
are further divided into following sub heads:-

a. Fuel
b. Lubricants
c. Maintenance Labor
d. Parts Airframe/Eng/Avionics
e. Engine Restoration
f. Major Periodic Maintenance
g. Cost of overhauling
h. Landing/Parking/ Navigation
4. Aircraft Fixed Costs
a. Depreciation
b. Cost of capital
c. Overhead charges including
(1) Hangar costs
(2) Offices costs
(3) Crew Expenses
d. Navigation Chart Service
5. Operating Cost. Based on these sub heads, per hour operating cost is
calculated for the fleet of section-3 and is attached at following annexure:-
a. MI-17 helicopter Annexure ‘A’
b. Citation-Bravo aircraft Annexure ‘B’
c. KingAir B-350 aircraft Annexure ‘C’
d. KingAir B-200 aircraft Annexure ‘D’
