INTRODUCTION
Blood Bank Management System (BBMS) is a comprehensive software
solution designed to streamline and automate the operations of blood banks,
hospitals, and other healthcare facilities involved in the management and
distribution of blood products. This system plays a crucial role in ensuring the
efficient and effective management of blood inventory, donor information,
recipient records, and blood specimen analysis.
The BBMS database comprises several interconnected tables to store and
manage essential data related to hospitals, blood donors, recipients, blood
specimens, city information, blood bank managers, and disease finders. Each
table represents a crucial aspect of the blood bank management process,
facilitating seamless coordination and communication between different
entities involved in the system.

NORMALISATION

1. Blood_Donor (bd_Id, bd_name, bd_phNo bd_sex, bd_age, bd_reg_date,

two different bd_name do not correspond to the same bd_Id).

form. Because every non-primary key attribute is fully functionally dependent
on the primary key of the table and it is already in first normal form, this table
is now in second normal form. Since the table is in second normal form and no
non-primary key attribute is transitively dependent on the primary key, the
table is now in 3NF.
