Title: Proposal for Laser Light Security System using LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
Introduction:
Security systems are becoming increasingly vital in various environments, ranging from homes to commercial
establishments. In this proposal, we outline a plan to develop a Laser Light Security System using Light
Dependent Resistors (LDR) and lasers.
Objective:
The primary objective of this project is to design and implement two innovative systems:
1. Laser Light Security System: Utilizing lasers and LDRs to detect intrusions or unauthorized movements.
Components Needed:
1. Laser
2. Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs)
3. LEDs or buzzer for alarm (for the security system)
4. Jumper wires
5. Resistor as per requirements (2.2k)
6. Power source (3.7v li-ion battery/ 5 v battery)
7.BC-547 transistor
Methodology:
1. Laser Light Security System:
- Setup: Place the laser module on one end of the area to be secured, and the LDRs on the other end.
- Circuit Design: Connect the LDR into the circuit to measure light intensity variations. When the laser
beam is interrupted (e.g., by an intruder), the light intensity at the LDR decreases or gets blocked, triggering
an alert. A significant decrease in light intensity is detected, activate an alarm (LEDs or buzzer) to indicate
intrusion.
The circuit diagram of the security system is given below: -
Benefits:
1. Enhanced Security: The Laser Light Security System offers a reliable means of detecting intrusions,
enhancing security in residential or commercial spaces.
2. Convenience: The convenience of laser light security systems lies in their non-intrusive nature, high
precision, and ability to cover expansive areas with minimal maintenance requirements.
3. Cost-Effective: The cost-effectiveness of laser light security systems employing LDR (Light Dependent
Resistors) stems from their low power consumption, durability, and minimal upkeep expenses, making them a
prudent long-term investment for comprehensive security solutions.
Conclusion:
The proposed Laser Light Security offers innovative solutions to enhance security and convenience in various
settings. By leveraging basic electronic components, these systems can be developed affordably and
effectively. This project aims to contribute to the advancement of DIY security and automation technologies.
