The joy of landing your dream job after a
successful interview is beyond measure.
So, What is Interview?
Here are Some of the definitions

1 a structured conversation where one participant asks questions,


and the other provides answers.

2 a formal meeting at which someone is asked questions in order to


find out if they are suitable for a job

3 a conversation for gathering information.

employer that you are both
competent and confident, they may
be more likely to offer you the job.
Having strong interviewing skills is an
important part of progressing in your
career. As you try to move onto
bigger and better job opportunities,
being good at interviews is going to
make this more possible.

Here are some tips/ guidelines in acing an
interview:

Look at the company's social media presence


Before an interview, research the company by checking its social media for
insights into the brand's image and culture. Posts about company events and
employee achievements may indicate a supportive work environment.

Keep a positive words and attitude


Demonstrate positivity in interviews by showing enthusiasm, addressing
challenging questions positively, highlighting lessons from past failures, and
speaking respectfully about previous employers.
Establish a connection with the interviewer
In your interview, be professional but show some personality by finding
common ground with the interviewer. Demonstrating genuine interest in
them and engaging in light small talk can make you memorable and
showcase your conversational skills.

Use body language to your advantage


During interviews, maintain eye contact, smile, sit up straight, and keep still to
convey confidence. Practice in front of a mirror to assess your body language.
Be mindful of your appearance
Looking presentable at your interview shows an employer that
you have a sense of professionalism. Try to look your very
best during an interview by grooming yourself and dressing
well. Pick out your interview outfit at least a day in advance so
you know it will for sure work out.

Do a mock interview/ Be Intelligent in Answering


Practice interview questions with a friend or family member, including
common and specific ones for your job title. Prepare answers for generic
questions, know your strengths and weaknesses, and have an elevator
pitch ready for the interview.
Phone interviews are cost-effective for
screening candidates, lasting 10-30 minutes.
Prepare by having your resume, job
description, references, and answers ready.
Emphasize positive, enthusiastic responses as

In a Personal/ Face-to-face interview, typically held
face-to-face, the length can range from 30 to 90

interviewers assessing candidates
collectively on various aspects like
expertise, aspirations, and body language,
with decisions made collectively.

INTERVIEW A group interview is a meeting format
with several candidates and one
interviewer and is often used when
employers are looking to hire for more
than one position on a short timeline.
In structured interviews, all candidates
are asked the same set of questions,
which can be open-ended or close-
ended. Interviewers compare candidates
based on their responses to these
questions.

INTERVIEW In an unstructured interview, questions
change based on the candidate's responses.
There is no predetermined format, and
interviewers may ask unpredictable
questions based on the interview flow.
